sorry, but if somebody scams me real life money worth $1000, moral high ground will not be the first thing I would be thinking about. To hell away with him and his community. It's better if the server is purged of them anyway. All of them act entitled and promote a "toxic" environment that is a thorn in the side of the developers who are doing this project in their free time. You know why Rebirth vanilla server shutdown? It's because the devs all got "burnt out" from the stress and volunteer basis of it. World of Warcraft is a game to everyone. Players and Devs alike. It's not a job.

IP BAN HIM PLEASE! It's one thing to let someone get away with flaming the server & its staff, spreading bad information about the server & the staff, but now you're allowing him to get away with FINANCIALLY ABUSING you. This sort of behavior should not be acceptable on any server, least to say the most important Vanilla server around. Judgement! Guilty. Ban. Ban. Ban. Exile him to pandaland.

Hi ValarMorghulis, I disagree with you on the point that you mentioned that he is contributing to the community. The content in his videos makes people on this server adapt a negative attitude towards many things. First of all, the versatile classes such as shamans and paladins that he considers trash and unworthy of raiding besides being in healing spec. Then he comes around telling people to play what they enjoy. If a pug cleared MC, why can't a raid that has a handful of ret paladins, feral dudu, spriests, elem shamans, boomkins, arms warriors raid and clear it as well? Vanilla, unlike TBC, has a wide margin of error. Alex's "how to" & "class guides" encourages people to look down upon those classes that I've mentioned. His videos imply to the player that there is 1 and only 1 way of playing the game. Players are developing mentality that any attempt at playing the game in a way different way than described by Alex is a sign of IQ deficit. I have run into so many people during the launch of Elysium in dungeons who are so inflexible because "they've watched or heard alex say so" regarding dungeon strategies to the point where they rather QQ than adapt. I have had people leave group because a dudu is tank rather than healer. Secondly, he build big big hype and big talk on servers like Nostalrius, Kronos, PlayTBC then comes around and trash talk them. I consider this misleading the viewers. Also, after all the donations that he received courtesy of playing on Nostalrius' creation, he comes around and posts a video titled "F you Nostalrius." The level of immaturity and entitlement in such an unleveled reaction towards the devs that allow us to have lots of fun during our free time is uncalled for. He is forming a community, but this community is being taught to be very narrow minded.

Hello, I've been playing as elemental and picking up some healing gear as well. My main focus when I need on healing gear is maximizing my Mana-pool with Intellect gear. Dungeon fights are short enough to the point where I dont consider spirit and mp5 to be very important. I've noticed that healing as a shaman gets easier and easier as you level up because you gain Lesser Healing Wave (shorter cast time), and eventually Chain Heal. I setup a different action bar for healing, as previous post described. I down-rank some spells too. Every time i level up, I calculate my healing efficiency of spells: Healing Efficiency = (min heal + max heal)/(2* mana cost) You will notice that your Fastest heals are the least efficient and will make you Oom. I like to use Lesser Healing Wave in emergency situation where I pray for a crit to push up the tank's hp enough so i can witch back to a more efficient (but longer cast time) spell. I also use Lesser Healing wave on myself/dps on fights where tank is taking substantial dmg from boss and the dps are taking dmg as well from other sources. Soon when I get chain heal, I'll rely less on Lesser Healing wave, and more on Chain Heal to deal with such situation where everyone is taking unavoidable dmg. I personally like to use my most mana-efficient heal (long cast time Healing Wave) on the tank. It minimizes my downtime, allows me to participate in maintaining 100% totem uptime / interrupting / purging / melee'ing etc. How I play in dungeons really differs from one group to another. If tank is strong and well geared, that allows me to participate in other roles, and safely heal him whenever my most-efficient big spell will exactly refill his hp. If tank is low lvl and undergeared, I focus more on healing and find myself constantly spamming heals to keep his low hp-pool from suddenly dropping. I recommend that you run dungeons many many times to learn the trash mobs and all the fights yourself. You will notice that you will develop a skill of Anticipating damage on your tank. Then you start being able to predict how fast the tank's hp is going to drop on any fight. With this information, you can make good decision on how which spell to choose, and even better when you know when to cast/cancel your healing spell. Sometimes you'll know that a big hit is coming despite tank being at high hp, you must be prepared and pre-cast your heal in anticipation of that dmg. When I Oom (usually happens with incorrect pulls, or dps taking aggro), i throw my Earth Bind totem and tell the tank to kite, or ask for off-healing to support. Shaman is a very fun and versatile class. I hope you enjoy it as much as I am :)

Those who are hurt the most are the ones who can heal best.

world pvp: 17 hunter vs 25 dudu. Guess which one is our self-proclaimed expert teaching us how to play vanilla and dictating what classes belong in the game:

Hello, I have mainly leveled up through dungeons as it is my preferred method on PvP servers. Currently sitting at lvl 30. In many of my groups, I am SHOCKED at how many tanks I run with who 100% entrust me with the responsibility of holding aggro on boss's adds or targets that are not skull. Did 17 runs in SFK, and 14 of those runs I would die to the adds that spawned on the houndmaster boss. As a healer, I fully embrace the responsibility of healing the entire group as efficiently as I can, dispelling debuffs, maintaining 100% uptime of buffs, appropriately interrupting casts, contributing some dmg on mobs if no healing is needed. However, I cannot do my role when I have 3 adds on me and neither the tank nor the dps do anything about helping out. I can't heal while moving. I think primarily tanks need to develop more situational awareness and dps ought to leverage their class mechanics of Deathcoil/pets/fear/sheep/stuns/frost nova to decrease the pressure on the healers.

They're not even responding to my tickets reporting bots :'( -
To hell with gathering professions to afford my mount. I'm rolling warlock and selling summons 25s per person. Summoning is already a feature available in the game. OP is not asking for game-altering mechanics. He's simply asking for a quality of life improvement. Instead of spending 1 hour forming the grp + translocating to the dungeon, you can cut down this process by 40 minutes. 40 minutes may be enough time for this same group to run the dungeon again one more time. How is this feature so bad and frowned upon! People that say "you earn your rewards" true. You earn them by beating the game mechanics, and outrolling other players. Why add addition 1 hour of do-nothing to earning this.

I've always played on EU retail servers. I notice this sort of behavior on NA or international private server. Why so much racialisim? It really is not funny or joke to laugh about person's skin color. -
Can the devs explain this reddit post?
Zosyn replied to Iolx's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Not sure about that. Aran places ~3 Flame Wreathes on random people. If people inside the wreath move, or if somebody outside the wreath crosses the flame border, then people start blowing up. That's why the safest strategy is for Nobody at all to move. -

Also, why such a negative attitude. Say GZ to the group and move on to clear MC yourself. But no, you want to go out of your way to screw people over. -

Not a dev either, but if you avoid standing in the fire, then you wont take damage. (Only exception is Aran's Flame Wreath). Fire does not heal. -
I remember copying the name of the quest then pasting it into Thottbot

Never played resto druid, but an important aspect of healing is using your mana-efficient spells as much as you can. To calculate manaefficiency on each of your spells and ranks, use the forumula: Mana-efficiency = average heal / mana cost. Units are heals/mana-point. You will find out, as Blizzard designed it, that the quick heals will have very low efficiency, but are easy to use. On the other hand, longer heals have better efficiency, but can't be relied on in an emergency. You will notice that you will not go oom as fast when you use mana-efficient spells. Also at low lvl, everybody has a low mana pool. The difference between having 300 mana vs 800 mana will quickly add up for you. Goodluck

Being told Druid Tanks are worthless (at least at End game)
Zosyn replied to Habskilla's topic in Classes
I strongly disagree with those misconceptions. The margin of error is huge in this expansion and there is plenty of room to complete end-game without optimizing everything within the raid. If you are truly a good feral tank, I would strongly encourage you to be as stubborn as a Dwarf and keep tanking! There needs to be better tanks who know their role on the server. Not more warriors who only know how to tank 1 target at a time. People need to realize that having more support roles in the raid is important. It shows the good players who know how to play, and fills in the weaknesses of the other roles. Keep doing what you enjoy until you find a guild that appreciates the player behind the character/class that they see. -

OMGosh! This is EXACTLY what i've been telling the Barrens for the past week! This guy subscribes to popular youtubers who do their OWN homework on reading forums and are legitimately informed on WoW mechanics. Then he pops his video and is a parrot, repeating buzzwords of what those people say, and he tries so hard to sound authentic. Here is my three-step plan that I have shared with Barrens, but wish to share with entire community now: #1) Please shut down your twitch. #2) Daily Quest: Check your privilege. #3) Repeat Daily Quest.
