Does anyone have a BiS shaman gear list similar to this druid list?
Egregious replied to Superomegaop's topic in Shaman
So: world dragons, questing, crafting, and pre DM dungeons? Regardless, some of the item information is in disagreement with stuff found on other DBs. So I would still be interested to know where the information came from and/or if there is any way that I may access that same information he/she/whomever used. -

That list artan linked seems very strange. What DB did the person whom made that guide use? Also, is there a current DB with the available items from this patch, or would I have to use my own Google-fu to find out what's available? -
Would they have been dead faster if you were another spec? I hear they all have access to WF totem.

Definitely Enhance. No question.

It's an interesting paradox to suggest that an Ele Shaman can only get into raids after having gear that they can only get from raids. But Shaman are great. Be one. You too can be like me. Well, no one can be like me. But you can think that you are like me, and that's just as good for all intents and purposes.

Too bad you raid on all the days I work. -
I've had the Flametongue hit when I've missed with the melee swing. Pretty OP. Basically it's FT til WF.

The answer is always use the totem that fits the group. If the tank is squishy, I drop Stoneskin. A lot of melee, SoE. If I'm fine on mana, Healing Stream. If not, Mana Spring. Granted I keep Mana Spring down nearly 99% of the time. On average your totem lineup is going to look like SoE, Searing Totem, Mana Spring and Windfury. Searing Totem is also incredibly helpful for aggro snap. If a boss resets its aggro table, keep a Searing Totem down near it. This way the totem will grab aggro over a DoT or another player giving the tank time to adjust.

You definitely should get the higher ranks of shocks. Maybe you want to interrupt and do actual damage at the same time. Maybe you want to slow and do actual damage at the same time. Maybe you want to ranged pull something and actually do damage at the same time. Also it's good for WPvP.

It's only really viable to do cloth Ele PvP prior to AQ40. After that, there should be enough mail pieces to avoid ever touching cloth again. It does noticeably effect how durable you are. Stat prio is obviously SPD > Crit > Int > MP5 > everything else. Even T2 can be a safe bet over some of the better cloth peices.

PvP: Best race either Tauren or Orc. The choice is between a stun and stun resist. Either is good. The argument that "you can already break stun because class trinket" is a really terrible argument. They stack. Additionally, LAP is a terrible argument because, again, they stack. Additionally, Rogues are one of our toughest opponents, so having stun resist is very strong. A better argument would be that War Stomp would be the only stun in your entire arsenal, regardless of spec. It's quite useful for getting a second to breathe when you're getting trained by a bunch of melee or interrupting a second heal when ES is on CD. PvE: Troll for Resto/Ele. Orc for Enh.

I always go Herbalism/Engineering. In my opinion, Engineering is the only pseudo-mandatory profession.

I get it. It's a playstyle thing. It's just one of the many burdens of a Resto Shaman in this xpac. On F****x I used to have like 50 bindings because of totems and downranking.

It really isn't. It doesn't have an amazing kit but, with mana pots and a bit of sipping here and there, LHW spam is pretty effective. Plus you have Frost Shock for kiting, the best ваууing interrupt in the game, Grounding Totem, remove Poison (good against Rogues), Magma Totem (good at finding Rogues), Flame Shock (good for irritating Rogues), Windfury Totem, Earthbind Totem, Ghost Wolf which is decent for FCing, and a shield and mail. I honestly think it's a great class for PvP.

You should really just bind your totems and get the muscle memory down.

Troll for PvE due to Berserking. Tauren and Orc are tossups for PvP. An AoE stun or 5% stun resist.
