I haven't been able to find as much information on this as I would like so outside of Dal Rends what should I be aiming for as my weapons? Currently I have a Thrash Blade with a Mirahs Song in the offhand so I am wondering what my next upgrade should be? I am a night elf and I can't afford edgemasters (I don't raid yet either so this is mostly for 5/10 mans and farming). Should I buy a Flurry Axe to put in my OH (keeping thrash as my MH)? or should I buy an Axe of the Deep Woods for MH and put my Thrash blade in the OH? I would appreciate hearing peoples opinions on this.

That statement is just simply not true for the majority of players. I understand for some of you this is easy and I am kinda jealous of your situations but just keep in mind most adults don't have 160 hours of free time available in a single month to spend sitting in front of their computer screen. Faction change is the only solution I can think of for this problem.

I focused on grinding mobs in blasted lands and azshara (also there are a few quests). You will still get ganked but its completely manageable. Unguro was surprisingly tame as well outside of picking up / turning in quests in the main camp. Burning steppes / searing gorge / Plague lands are all cancer I avoided those as much as possible. I also sat in /world chat to keep an eye out for groups for Mara or ST. Even if it's not the best XP and I didn't need any drops I would do it to break up the monotony of grinding the same mobs all day in the open world. The nice thing about instances is you don't have to fight for mobs or deal with gankers for a few hours.

Consider rolling druid, then you can tank or heal at 60. I rolled warrior due to the supposed shortage of tanks and it is real nice being able to form your own groups. so far. At the same time it's much much easier getting into a pug mc or ony or zg eventually as a healer so as a druid you would have the best of both worlds.

They need to allow faction transfers, it's the only viable solution to reducing BG queues. It would be in everyones best interest too. Horde players don't have to wait in queue all day and alliance can actually venture out into the open world for a change.

hunter and druid no question. or a shaman mixed with one of the previous. those are the only classes that have 30% movement at lvl 20 (or 21 for the druid). I did druid and hunter with my friend and it was fun af, we could run down pretty much anyone we wanted to kill and also escape from almost anyone with roots/traps.

To all the people saying BoE epics are an exception to the normal rules (roll need only if you can use it) all you're saying is that you're more than willing drop your morals/ethics if the price is right. Learn to be happy for other people rather than doing whatever mental gymnastics y'all are spouting off about in order to justify your greed.

IDK whats your prior experience with vanilla and what are your end goals for once you hit 60 with pve and pvp?

They can dps at 60 in raids but they are pretty meh in 5 mans especially leveling up because they have no cc and their dps is weak until they get +hit gear. If you don't want to tank and only want to dps roll one of the 4 pure dps classes such a rogue. I play a warrior and I am open to group with any of the off specs (shadow priest, ret pally, feral druid) except for a dps warrior when doing dungeons because it's just lazy on their part. Any warrior can tank pre 60 instances regardless as spec so I am not going to invite someone to my group to do weak dps and provide no utility then roll on all my gear.

Depends what you mean by end game. Can you tank 5 mans? Absolutely, though some people who don't know what they are talking about and just go around parroting incorrect information they read on the forums might try to say you can't. The bright side to this though is whenever someone says druids can't tank a 5 man you now know they are not the type of player you want to be grouped with. Now do you want to tank in raids? Probably not going to happen, though given the right amount of effort and determination you could find a spot as an off-tank somewhere. Would it be easier for you to raid as resto? Yes, but since when has anything worth doing been easy?
