Hello everyone, As an update to my previous message, we have just added a new group for confirmed addon developers that allows them to link directly to the zip download of their addon on GitHub: You can see an example of this in action here. If you are an addon creator and would like your account confirmed on the site, please send me a PM here or a PM on the site at Arbaxas. Thanks! -

For the time being until authors are interested in updating their own addons, I'll be updating addons once a week to keep them up to date with their GitHub versions. I don't yet have a way to completely disable the download and allow just the GitHub link, but I'll try and get that added soon as well. -

I agree and that's something I'm looking to implement soon. I want the authors to get the credit they deserve. -

Migration to the new domain should now be complete and you should no longer receive any errors. If you run into anything, please let me know. Thanks! -

Well, alright - I'll go ahead and remove the addon. I hope you'll consider submitting your addon to the site yourself eventually. I'd just like to let you know that we have now added the ability to link directly to your GItHub for users who prefer to download the latest version that way - see here for an example. In other news, we have received a lot of feedback in regards to the domain name and thus, we have changed the site to ClassicAddons.com to be more inclusive to all of the vanilla WoW server communities. The site may be acting kind of strange while DNS propagation occurs, but everything should be resolved by tomorrow. Thanks everyone! While I agree that it's probably not needed, I definitely want to make it available to the addon developers that want to use it. The ultimate goal is to create an all-in-one stop for vanilla addons, with an eventual auto updater program. Creating a separate Git will hopefully make that easier later on. -

While challenging, that is definitely something I can work on implementing at some point. Basically a way to "import" an addon from our Git, which would include the ReadMe as the description, the latest version for the download, and potentially a way to automatically update the addon on the site when it detects a Git update. It's definitely something I'll begin working on. Edit: Our Git beta is now live and everyone is invited to check it out and let me know what you think. You do not need to register to use the site, simply click "Explore" to see an example of a public repository. I've also included an option to import your GitHub repository with just a simple link. Let me know what you think! -

Hello everyone, Since our launch, the majority of the feedback on the site has been in regards to the domain/site name. I've created a poll on our site where you can help us decide between ElysiumAddons.com and ClassicAddons.com. ClassicAddons is a much more generic term and therefore is inviting to users from all Vanilla WoW communities. I'd love your feedback in regards to this matter. -

I find that it can be quite difficult to track some addons down on GitHub. Having a database of just addons would make it a lot easier for users to search for, download, and install addons - in addition to the official releases on our main website. If it's not something people are interested in, I can scrap it - but I thought it might be a useful tool for developers. -

We're now testing a new repository similar to GitHub that will be only for Vanilla addon development. If you're interested in helping us test, shoot me a message and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. -

With the release of Elysium's realms, I thought it would be a way to get the site out to the community easier. We also have the domain "classicaddons.com" and if the site starts being used by other Vanilla communities, I'd be more than happy to create a poll in regards to the future of the site. I'll probably revisit this subject in a month or two. -

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I'll be contacting many addon authors over the next days about potentially passing their addons onto them on the website. I've also added a new feature which allows you to input a GitHub repository link as an additional way for users to download their addons. Today, I'll be updating all current addons with available GitHub pages so authors get the credit they deserve for their work. I'd also like to apologize to any authors whom I offended by submitting their addons to the site and potentially confusing some users in regards to the original creator. That wasn't my intention, but it was the only solution available to me. As I mentioned before, we'd love to have you join us on the site and take over ownership of any submitted addons to allow for another platform for vanilla WoW users to quickly download your creations. Either send me a PM here or on the website and I'll get it sorted out for you in no time. Also, here's a few fun statistics since we launched last night: Total Views: 14,127 Total Downloads: 8,481 Total Bandwidth Used: 14.42GB Most Downloaded Addon: Questie I hope you're enjoying the site as much as I enjoyed creating it. Thanks again! -

That's definitely a feature that we have planned. Unfortunately, that's not really my expertise. If anyone is interested in helping out with the project - either moderating or helping with development, feel free to contact me through a PM. -
