I rolled my priest when nostalrious under elysium came online, there where not even mobs to be found, and I leveled with a huge number of other players on the same zones. Herbalism got left behind from about lvl 15. I did not wast time to go looking for herbs to get in line with the areas I was in. I left it, I lvled and at level 40 with the mount I spend like 4 hours to reach the normal levels I should be. TLDR Version : Do not try to level herbalism without a mount.

What you ask is silly and would be pretty much impossible due to game mechanics. Buffing the bosses HP would be a better and easier alternative and a challenge for all the classes equally.

I know that this must bother a lot of ppl that wait for the extra content to be released, but the server code and network problems (many bugs are obvious result of poor client-server communication, like invisible party members in the instance, that gets fixed with an out-in, or missed rolls in drops etc) that plague the server make the experience less than it should be. In my point of view, this server is for nostalgia and hard raiding like it was back in 2005. The hard raiding part was "shot" pretty much in the head, not only because of the knowledge for the strat every boss needs, but also because of the addons available. For me bosses should be tuned up a bit in order for the content to last more, even with all the extra help. If the point of the server was "getting gear" everyone should have mod privileges and be done with everything. The other thing left is the nostalgia part then, that is a bit ruined when ST bosses drop no loot, when you can't find quest mobs due to stealth, when you cant spend some quality time fishing nightfin or when you cant buff an ally through MControl, the little things that we found fun to do and became part of your character's routine. That is not in any way a bashing, I will be playing no matter what you do at the end.

Downtalking? Its not personal m8, but how can you have demands on something that is being given to you for free. I for one can't, What if the devs went to sleep, what can you or I do that can stop them from doing so? We are at their mercy for better or worse and all we can hope for is they are able and willing to provide the service they do. Now imagine yourself in their shoes. Spending time from your life to provide something for free instead of going out for a beer or a movie, and have the ones benefiting grunge whine and demand stuff. Almost every server has a different patch layout. Anathema got transfers from other servers and its not even fresh like a test realm Finally you can subscribe and play on https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-gb/ where you can have demands because you are actually a customer there. And for those that do not remember or do not know... Anathema still has better up-time, customer service and lag, than the original Vanilla WOW.

Nice thread you got going there (TLDR), theory calculations and damage meters. Hybrid and alternative builds do not have a place in vanilla endgame. If you want to dps roll mage-warlock. As soon as you make your place in an endgame Guild you will have the leniency to be able to try something like dpsing in weird specs. Until then stick to holy-disc and heal your way to a nice guild and some nice gear.

On Anathema Alliance has the upper hands in most contested areas and they usualy form WPVP ganks steamrolling through STV. Yet I managed to complete every single quest on STV while dying about 10 times in 1day+ gametime. The thing is, you have to be 1.Persistent : Go back again and again to where you want to do a quest 2.Flexible: If an area is ganked, go do another quest 3.Friendly: Killing an enemy of whatever lvl, questing near you, raises the chances of you getting stomped by his friends I have quested with allies (me being Horde) a lot, by helping them, in fast re spawning places full of mobs, they helped me in return. (Ogre and northeast caves - Tarren Mill, Pirate Ships - STV, Ogre Keep - Alterac, Eye of whatever quest - STV,)

Wow is fun, but hardcore? Naah the only hardcore about it is the hours it requires for progress. So I presume that you play Eve-Online?

What do you raid? ZG? In order to Raid higher instances, even if you are a fringing Mage, requires time for preparation. From pots to rep for armor crafting. Except if you are a leech to your Guildmates.

Every healer has it's own merits on the healing aspect. Priest: Fast/"Instant" Heal Shaman: Chain H/Totems Druid: Big Heals/Enervate Each class has its own fun to play but, its not a one-button-spam job, and the bosses in vanilla are not tank-and-spank, so the more complicated your involvement in healing will be, the better player you can become in your class, its all about skill and mana management and not about numbers, and addons are important to be able to have a good view of what is going on, who got aggro before he/she starts getting hit etc. And since Raids are 40 man, there is a place not only for all the classes (you wont be able to have heals from only one class and do anything) but for a variety of healing specs on each. A low geared priest with a lot mana/5 can go on dispelling/decursing and a high +healing priest can focus on Greater Heal if he has low latency and good grasp of the tactics.
