I know they nerfed a lot of other gold farming methods (LP, DM, etc.) - was Mara included? I used to be able to farm Mara without a problem - the last few times I've been getting wrecked by Princess (the boulder throws are so frequent I can't even get her down to <50% health without needing to pot). Maybe it's just RNG?

So as a Hunter, every LBRS run I've been on it seems that it's perfectly acceptable for a rogue/warr (including the tank) to roll need on Blackcrow, which is the best ranged option for a Hunter unless you want to spend 300+ gold. However, every rogue/fury warr goes insane if you roll for Dal Rend's. Is there something I'm missing?

Going to roll Druid as an alt, so will have some gold available to buy weapons to try and speed up the leveling process. I'm a little confused with how weapon damage affects Cat form on Elysium PvP - I've seen people use Midnight Mace at level 60, enchant + weapon damage, etc I've also seen people say this is an exploit and was not intended. All seems a bit confusing to me. Could someone please summarize what I should be looking for in a weapon to maximize damage in Cat form? A quick list of weapons I should try to obtain on my way to 60 would be really helpful.

Went on an MC run hosted by Cry Havoc last night - wiped so many times on trash before the first boss the entire raid needed to go and repair lmao. I guess all those items they ninja'd weren't very useful. Or maybe it was the MS warrior and Enh shaman that make up their core raid group.

As a fairly casual player looking to gear up for raids, I'm targeting BoE gear whenever possible such as Warmonger (~50g), Flawless Arcanite Rifle (mats for this seem to cost around 300g), and Black Dragonscale Shoulders (~100g) rather than their BoP equivalents (Dal Rends, Blackcrow, Truestrike shoulder's etc.). I have enough time to farm gold for an hour or so a day during the week, so this route seems preferable to spending running instances to try and acquire the BoP's which may be better. Will there be a significant drop off in DPS or make it harder to get into raids? Just wanted to get some thoughts.

Does logic not exist? So every rogue that want's Dal'Rends should make their own UBRS groups and reserve them. I ended up farming Mara a few times and buying the Arcanite Rifle because I got tired of getting outrolled on Blackcrow by the tank or rogue. Just thought this was interesting since it's my class that gets all the hate for rolling on weapons needed by other classes.

So 50 attack power and +1% crit is useless for a Hunter? This is the exact mentality I'm referring to. We need the stats on Dal'Rend's as much as you need the stats on Blackcrow. I would never think to roll on Dal'Rend's over a rogue who needed it, but then again I never expected every rogue to roll on Blackcrow when I needed it. And yet hunters are the ones with who get hated on...

I had no idea this was the case - that aimed/multi shot damage was normalized to weapon DPS. Does this change in later patches? Wouldn't Hurricane (which I bought at lvl 48 for 20g) be better than Heartseeking Crossbow then? I just bought the Arcanite Rifle and was surprised/disappointed that my aimed/multi shot damage stayed the same.

I can do about 25g per hour pretty consistently at level 60 as a poorly geared hunter. Seems low to me, but given population size lots of mats are going for really cheap on the AH so maybe it's not so bad. Thoughts?

You're literally referring to one attack in your picture, where clearly Lupos is under the effect of both furious howl and BW. That crit was probably at the high end of the range, and not the average crit. Lupos also has one of the slowest attack speeds of any pet at 2.0 which results in bigger crits. Please show us the range of outcomes for a critical hit made a normal 2.0 attack speed wolf under BW and furious howl on that same player with the same amount of armor, to substantiate your claims that it would not exceed 200 damage.

I don't think this is true at all. I had the Hillsbrad mountain lion pet until level 40, when i tamed Lupos. It's true that he's much more effective against high armor targets but he definitely doesn't deal 3x the damage of any other pet. Against most mobs I haven't seen my killing speed increase significantly from the mountain lion, since cats deal slighly more base DPS plus they can use claw and have a higher attack speed (more frenzy uptime). BM hunter pets with BW on have always been incredibly powerful.

It took me 10+ hours to tame and level him (tamed at level 40) but it's absolutely been worth it. Got ganked by a 59 warrior yesterday, came back and destroyed him repeatedly at level 52 with Lupos. He probably didn't have great gear but with BW active Lupos absolutely shredded him. Pretty crazy to see it.

The value of a BoE item is the same to all members, regardless of who can use it. Therefore everyone should roll need, unless you decide you don't need the gold. If you argue that a BoP can be sold or disenchanted and therefore everyone should roll need as well, you clearly are incapable of thinking logically, as that item clearly is more valuable to the person who can use it then the person who will vendor or disenchant it. In reality, if a top tier BoE such as Stockade Pauldrons drops in a random 5 man pug group, I highly doubt that everyone will roll greed except the tank, so the point is really moot. Once someone else rolls need, it forces everyone's hand.

So I get to the spawn spot (Elysium server), no other hunters around. This level 60 hunter (Corvus) with an epic mount and some serious BOE gear (Dwarven Hand Cannon, etc.) shows up. Starts telling me that he'll one shot Lupos if I start taming him first. I laugh and tell him that I could easily kill Lupos before he finishes taming him as well. So he immediately starts panicking (since he obviously needs to get back to gold farming ASAP), then calls in a level 60 Alliance buddy to come gank and corpse camp me. Hunter pets are serious business.
