Yes, it does come near that figure! Lots and lots of people want(ed) to tank! But when they apply for a raiding spot there are no slots. Meanwhile they can gather random green of the monkey and apply for a DPS spot no problem. So why the f would they still wanna tank? There is no point in investing time in it. F* it my warlock got into MC at level 58 using ZF gear. No way in hell I would be allowed to do that as a tank. Give tanks some slack and actually give them a raiding spot and they might actually get to tanking a dungeon. Also, requesting 5k HP, Defcap and reserving all the gears really doesn't help when it comes to 5mans.

This is false. There are too many tanks when it comes to raidingi. Too little when it comes to tanking. there are 40 man (or 8 5mans) and they only use 3 -4tanks. Do the math.
