It was always possible the thread would be locked or deleted, given https://forum.elysium-project.org/topic/49560-addressing-rumors-regarding-possible-anathema-elysium-merge/?do=findComment&comment=412093 It's nothing to do with the way the conversation was held, and you can bet this thread will probably be deleted too.

Raise an in game ticket, there is no guarantee on character restores but you might be lucky.

Closing your game without logging out is a good way to screw up your character save state. Always log out.

Maybe so, but consider that gold selling is an RMT transaction, the players who are stupid enough to buy gold would be funding in part the making of those accounts. Plus there are still way too many players that dont have 2FA set up. This is just crazy when you consider the time and effort players invest into their characters. To lose all that and have to start over because you didn't have 2FA? Not worth it. But still they don't. Ultimately, the staff have to focus their attention and time on those aspects of RMT where it is the most effective and will do the most good. -
I'll put it plainly: you are wrong. It has next to nothing to do with gold selling beyond controlling inflation and thereby reducing the pressure on players to buy gold. Absent these measures, inflation would exacerbate the difference between the different strata of players, making it harder - not easier - to acquire upgrades and resources with the same effort put in. Keeping inflation low also increases the comparative effort/reward value of other gold sources which have a more static return (vendoring and questing for example) and is balanced against the static gold sinks of repair costs, skill purchases, respec costs, mounts et al. As I said before, the fact that you feel hard done by or disagree does not in any way invalidate the rationale and fundamental economics underpinning these decisions.

Blizlike is exactly that. It means congruent with Blizzard's vision and implementation. it does NOT mean "Exactly like the way it was in 200x". Such a goal is impossible to accomplish. Just logistically, it would mean creating more servers to split server population across, to the point where mob and vendor spawns, drops, and gold accrual were on par with 200x. Further, there are many things that we just have no solid record for as to how they operated originally in retail and how it changed over the various patches. The QA team do their utmost best to provably identify gear, ability, mob, quest, and other changes according to Blizzard's releases and timeline. Do they get it 100% right all the time? No - but again, that's impossible. Does that mean the server is not "Blizlike" because there are differences? No. The changes to historical gold farming zones were made with a lot of consideration. These are not haphazard tweaks. Likewise any changes made to battle ground rules are done after much discussion, consultation, and debate. The fact that you don't like these changes, or that you feel hard done by, doesn't invalidate the rationale underpinning them. Unlike the individual player who is most often concerned with themselves, their guild, or their immediate friends, the Elysium staff need to consider everything from a holistic 'whole server' perspective. They have to consider what is healthiest and necessary for the servers and the project itself. Inflation is a forcing factor. It is disproportionate in it's effects, widening the disparity between players and locking out any but those willing to commit the equivalent of a second job's worth of hours farming, from progression.

Zeth'Kur Migration — Transfers starting June 7th
Stodola replied to Akira's topic in Official Information
This has gone as far as it needs to go. The constant bickering and back and forth isn't actually serving a useful purpose. Spend your energy deciding where you want your characters to go and getting in contact with any absent players you're concerned about. -
Zeth'Kur Migration — Transfers starting June 7th
Stodola replied to Akira's topic in Official Information
It's not hostile, it's matter-of-fact. This is the solution we have arrived at taking into consideration the needs, interests, and desires of all involved and the servers as a whole. We are specifically giving you almost an entire month to make up your minds where you want each of your characters to go, and to make this choice yourself. You are empowered to choose your own future, on a per character basis. -
Zeth'Kur Migration — Transfers starting June 7th

Not at all. You're still bickering over this, even though the decision has been made after a long and involved process of review. If I say - and , keep in mind, I'm not at liberty to simply say anything I want - that reason "X" plays a large factor in the choice. Then there will be players that swear blue bloody murder that "X" is wrong, and "Y" proves it, and therefore we should do "Z". There will be an equal faction that swear just as vigorously that "X" is right, and thank you for recognizing that, and that the "Y"-sayers need to shut up and accept the decision. Disclosing a months long review process to be nit and cherry picked and used as fodder for players to support their own views, while completely disregarding the sum totality of it, would be counter productive. -
Zeth'Kur Migration — Transfers starting June 7th
Stodola replied to Akira's topic in Official Information
It would take a thesis to document the entire discussion and analysis process. The long story short is simply that Anathema is the better choice, ergo, Anathema was chosen. As I said before, there are many variables and much more context than players deal with. While we could go into much more detail regarding the decision process, it would only serve to fuel further bickering and fighting between players who want their particular perspective catered to. It would not change our decision in any regard which has been arrived at after long and careful analysis and discussion, community consultation included. -
Zeth'Kur Migration — Transfers starting June 7th
Stodola replied to Akira's topic in Official Information
No offence, but the community as a whole is not privy nor has the perspective that the team leads and administration does in this regard. Things may seem very obvious and straight forward from a player perspective but then turn out to be convoluted and/or much more complex when additional variables and context is taken into account. The Elysium project staff will always act to the best interests of the community and the project as a whole. We cannot and will not promote the interests one of segment of the population over another. Everything we do is considered and balanced towards what benefits and has the greatest net positive effect on the individual realms and the project itself. -
Zeth'Kur Migration — Transfers starting June 7th

ITT: People concerned mostly and solely with themselves complaining about choices made to serve the population of all servers as a whole. -
The hardware itself is only part of the cost, upkeep - including suitable physical hosting, power, and service and support makes up most of the ongoing cost of this kind of thing.

Is the Anathema Server being transfered to Elysium??
Stodola replied to hmmstuff's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
To clarify on the above answer from TheDruidCode: NO. The only planned merger is for Zeth'kur which will be merged with Elysium AFTER players have a chance to decide where they would like to transfer to, and none of this will happen until the infrastructure and processes are in place to handle it. -

Rules regarding wall jumping are in the Terms of Service. To put it simply, we don't allow wall jumping in PvP; keeping in mind that simply jumping from one point on a slope to another that anyone can do is not wall jumping. Wall jumping usually involves wedging into a crease in terrain or between two objects in order to climb in violation of the slope being climbed. Wall jumping and safespotting are linked. If you suspect either, make a ticket at the moment you see it and a GM will try to observe and sanction as appropriate.

Hello Mafia, Good Bye Mafia.

This is the clearest explanation of consequences of gold buying I have yet seen. -
You need to make an in-game ticket.

Yes, any player can report a bug with needed data and evidence. Remember, for abilities, they should be acting as per patch 1.12 while content should be per the patch level of the realm.

Verayoung abusing lag macro, AGAIN
Stodola replied to Theugly's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
GMs are not trying to get Verayoung banned. We investigate player reports and monitor battle grounds, however due to the way GM tools work, it is possible to accidentally modify a player's speed rather than our own. This has happened twice when investigating Verayoung, by two different GMs. When this happens, we err on the side of caution as it results in a tainted investigation. It makes no sense that we would modify a player's speed to "set them up" - all GM command usage is logged. -
Make an in-game ticket. Make sure you have 2FA enabled, we won't restore anything until that is done. It needs to be fully activated. We don't restore gear or gold except for verifiable quest items. In your ticket you need to provide the quest ID and the item ID which you can get from db.vanillagaming.org or any reliable vanilla WoW database.

We appreciate that you are concerned about your honor and ranking. That's why we have an official announcement up about this. Please try to remain calm, the world is not ending, there are a great many things to fix but keep in mind that most of the staff have day jobs and already devote every last hour they can afford to the project. Things take time. The honor calculations have been done, however final ranking fixes and updates are still being progressed. Unfortunately , as announced previously several times now, we are unable to recover honor from the 25th. We appreciate your patience.

Please make an in-game ticket for this issue, a senior GM will be able to help resolve it.
