They just made a post in general discussion on what to do if you're missing a quest item.

This exact scenario was addressed about a week ago and is a banable offense according to the admins.

With the way Blizzard designed the game cross faction communication is not possible. I don't know why you say I'm interpreting anything, the game was made that way.

The admins on these forums have explicitly stated this against the rules and players will be banned for it.

Again the example of the chest makes no sense. It is not comparable in any way. There is no rule in regard to seeing and looting chests. The game mechanics were created in such a manner to prevent cross faction coordination/communication. It's not an interpretation, it's a fact. Again the chest example has no bearing whatsoever. Nothing I just stated is an opinion. Yes, Elysium can choose any rules they want but they try to be blizz like and Blizzards design is self explanatory regarding communication/coordinating.

It doesn't matter who sees a chest first, it matters who gets to it first. I don't understand why you being bring this example up. It is against the rules. Just because they didn't enforce it with bans doesn't mean it's allowed.

The game was designed that way. How do you consider that irrelevant?

Are saying you could go to the Blizzard forums, find your server and then make a post saying "Sign up here for cross faction coordination to contol farming in un'goro. We can't communicate in game but that is easily circumvented." and Blizzard was cool with that? Of course they have forums to discuss the game but that was obviously not created to set up cross faction coordination/communication or you would be able to do that in game. It's not an interpretation, it's a fact and I'm not in the minority. Also another terrible example with the chest. Whoever loots it 1st in the open world gets it regardless of faction (assuming you're not in group).

The game designers obviously intended to prevent cross faction communication. Just because you can easily break a rule doesn't mean it's allowed.

Mats, gear, and recipes and anything that can be rolled on all follow the same logic. If you don't need it then don't roll need. Yet you did exactly what you said you would never do. Think before you act (and type).

Time and money I assume. I was never an employee at Blizzard so I don't know why they would choose not to enforce the rules. You are implying that due to not enforcing rules that its ok to break them. That is an incorrect assumption.

I hope they enjoy their ban.

It's not allowed in any instance. I was just saying your example of communication doesn't compare to what is happening in un'goro and was pointless to bring up.

Price is irrelevant. Why are you needing on something you don't need?

You guys both suck. You don't roll need for alt items. The sword example is simple too. If the rogue was the only one planning to equip it then he is the only one who should roll need.

If you join a BG and don't try you will be banned as you should be. I think we're getting off topic here because the op did not say that he did this. If he did then he should have been been perma banned.

Isn't that the one spot in the game where that are no factions? Not a good example.

Not crying. Just pointing out it's obviously against the rules. It's awesome that the players can do something about it but it would be nice if the GMs helped out.

Did you use those forums to coordinate griefing and economy control with the other faction?

I ask these questions because if you answered them then you would easily understand the rules.

Why do you think it is that they are not communicating in game?
