People complain because they want things to get better. Constructive criticism would be helpful of course. Now complaining about people complaining is where the real stupidity is though now I've set myself up because I'm complaining about the people that are complaining about people complaining.

You or your guild can switch to any realm you want at any time (as long as it isn't down like elysium is right now). Forcing the admins to waste their time to transfer your character for you is absurdly stupid. Roll a character on the realm you want to play and stop complaining about your own poor decision making skills and laziness.

I find it quite funny that this is actually well intended and helpful advice.

I had the same problem last night, hopefully it's fixed now.

I'm in Florida and had the same issue. After an hour of trying to log in when the server was up I gave up. I haven't had the chance to try today so I don't know if it's fixed.

He didn't get banned by coincidence and his appeal was not rejected by coincidence. Play the game as intended and coincidentally you won't get banned.

Make a new account and play the game as intended this time. Rolling over in bgs is what got you banned. Don't do it next time.

Well I played online poker for 12 years and watched the poker forums all the time and out of millions of players maybe only 5 a year or so had their account info hacked. It's the same kind of login/security as this server in that all you needed to login was an acct name and p.w. Virtually no one used an authenticator. Makes no sense why hacking pws seems to occur on elysium so often when the monetary gain is so low (and 200k users is small compared to the millions of poker accounts) compared to poker players account balances which on average would have $1k+.

I am curious too how so many people are having their accounts compromised. Seems to me like the only way to get hacked is have an easily guessed p.w like 1234, your computer has been compromised with a key logger, or a database that stores your p.w has been compromised.

That's a good question. Last time I tried to do it the 2nd link was broken and in the other link it took me forever to get the torrent to work. I switched to a new comp yesterday so I copied all the wow folder to a thumb drive and that worked great.

I think you being flagged for account trading/sharing is probably a false alarm due to the vpn but the win trading was unlikely to be an accident. It's not about how fast you win a BG, it's about how fast you're losing them. When you win 5 cap games and lose 5 cap games on a consistent basis there is no other conclusion to come to other than that you're win trading.

Yeah I did that the 1st time and a couple of time since. It's just not there and I've scrolled everywhere.

They are banning them as you've found out yourself. No one said you have to beat them but losing 2000-0 is going to get you banned when you also win 2k to nil. Just play the game and you don't have to worry about getting banned.

Giving up is win trading. If you're r14 and getting 5 capped that's a huge red flag.

Fighting once and losing and then giving up is why you're banned. They probably should have given you a warning/temporary ban but giving up like that goes against the purpose of bgs.

Giving up is precisely why they were banned. When you win by 5 cap and lose by 5 cap it is an obvious win trade.

That will result in a ban for obvious reasons.

While the amount of the time these banned players are putting in may lead to suspicion and eventually a ban for multi accounting I think it is the games they lose that are resulting in the ban. When you win games by 5 capping and lose them they same way you are just begging for a ban. I think these banned players are just conveniently leaving out that bit of info.

What's happening here is that the GM's are checking the length of BG games and when your name shows up in the list of winning super fast AND losing super fast there is no other conclusion for them to come to except that you are win trading. Stop rolling over when you see a good team and there'd be no problem. I think that is a reasonable reason for a ban. Fighting only when you steamroll your opponents and giving up against any one who gives you a real fight is super lame.
