The OP of this thread got a bracket 1 spot within the first week. Just to not keep your retarded fucking drivel standing like that. He successfully hit r14. However, there's a certain Ely guild that brought forth their great bracket breaking warrior, gave him nef head and all sorts of raid loot... then he got banned due to AFK botting because he couldn't win enough games to make it into the brackets legit. Turns out Zethkur players were always the real bulls. Please know your place!

Upgraded Blue PvP Set on Elysium
Caber replied to Shedur's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Not as strong as the r10 gear after buff, my thoughtful friend. It's either both get buffed at once, purple gets buffed first then blue, or none get buffed at all. There is no way the r10 rewards will be buffed before the r13 rewards realistically BECAUSE THEY WOULD BE BETTER THEN. -

Gear gained through exploiting should be removed or suspensions prolonged
Caber replied to Caber's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Then what is there to discourage first time offenses? It's still an issue in itself. A super easy solution would be to just not let players keep items they gained through exploiting, which I'm gonna go ahead and say should be a completely appropriate action to take. I mean if I find a gold exploit and get a few thousand gold together, would you remove my gold, permaban me, or just give me a 2 day suspension then let me keep the gold I got? The latter seems ridiculous, yet thats pretty much exactly what happens to a guild that doubleclears. -

Gear gained through exploiting should be removed or suspensions prolonged
Caber replied to Caber's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Clearly determining wether or not they actually did rerun it wasn't an issue, because they did get 2 days bans. Missing the point a little bit here. The point is that the punishment does not at all deter them from doing it again, or anyone else from doing it. -

Caber replied to Caber's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Already addressed: In other words, your opinion is not relevant, no matter how cleverly you try to phrase it (it wasn't clever). Arguments as to wether this is any way to deal with exploiters or not are relevant. I'd please like to have less opinion pieces on how much this matters and more actual dev statements on why exploiters dont get punished, and consideration of my possible solutions, if possible. By the way, we didn't get our loot restored on the Vael kill despite it being our only one. We didnt have the raid ID showing in the video. Just a heads up for everyone raiding who doesnt want to be dicked out of loot. -

Gear gained through exploiting should be removed or suspensions prolonged
Caber replied to Caber's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
To add to this, I am currently waiting on a ticket response about restoring our loot from a vael kill that despawned shortly after death. We have video proof and everything, but we're simply not receiving help. We have been waiting for over 4 days now. So here we are, raiders who dont exploit, a boss despawns after kill due to a bug, and we just dont fucking get the loot restored after 4 days. We're about to head back into BWL progression and we're just shit out of luck, no loot from the previous weeks progress. meanwhile, there's raiders who exploit and doubleclear, and they get to keep their loot even though a GM specifically looked at the situation and deemed that fair. Do you have any idea how infuriating this contrast is? -

Caber replied to Caber's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Fantastic response. Can almost feel you shaking in your boots about some item you gained by exploiting and dont want to lose. To everyone saying it's not a big deal: Maybe not so, but it's a real advantage gained through exploiting. If you have any argument to make as to wether players should be able to exploit to gain an advantage, however small it may be, then NOT HAVE THIS ADVANTAGE REMOVED EVEN IF FOUND OUT, I think everyone is open to hear it. -
The Guild <SOS Brigade> is currently recruiting. Our main focus is raiding, but a lot of our core is pvp minded, so you can expect some things there as well. We are looking to fill our raid roster completely after transferring here from Zethkur. On Zethkur, we filled our raids to 40 with the help of other guilds, but now we're looking to fill to 40 raiders of our own. We are 10/10 MC, 1/1 Ony. Our raids were the fastest clearing raids on Zethkur Horde, and not far behind the best non-pre-clearing alliance times. Guild info Our loot distribution is loot council to ensure that each item that drops is utilized to benefit raid progression come BWL. We keep careful track of raid attendance, performance and other guild contributions and will distribute items based on these factors. We're currently raiding at 7pm-10:30pm server, saturday and sunday are our raid days. What we expect from you You're not expected to have vanilla experience. Above all, you will have to show some commitment to making and keeping raids a smooth and nice experience for everyone. That means various things: We expect you to be an active player. This means you dont only log on for raids. A big part of raiding is preparing for raiding. This means gearing up, preparing some consumables, and depending on your role, respecs. You simply cannot do all of this if you are only online for raids, and it makes guild organization very hard aswell. We expect you to be able to attend most raids. It's important that you will be able to raid with us consistently. It is required to plan out raids smoothly. Last but absolutely not least, we expect you to be friendly and helpful. Nothing wrong with being shy, but try to run things with guildies, and help them out in any way you can. You will receive help in return! Recruitment process If this all suits you and you would enjoy joining our guild, simply whisper Caber ingame, or hit him up on discord (caber#6065) . You'll be asked a few questions. You will not need your calculator for this.

[Elysium] Update PVP reward armor in 1.7 (followup)
Caber replied to QQsya's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
In this ITT thread: Pure unadulterated truth -
	Thank you for the clarification!

Source on that? Because I strongly doubt the truth in this. Here's why: Weapons were buffed in 12 July 2005, patch 1.6.0. Source: http://wowwiki.wikia.com/wiki/Patch_1.6.0 + https://www.engadget.com/2011/07/12/wow-archivist-world-of-warcraft-patch-1-6/ Here's the r14 weapon stats in May 2005. (this is before 1.6, obviously). https://web.archive.org/web/20050529103912/http://wow.allakhazam.com:80/item.html?witem=18877 Here's the same weapon ID, stats in June 2006 https://web.archive.org/web/20060629120918/http://wow.allakhazam.com:80/item.html?witem=18877 Notice same weapon ID. Notice (by digging through https://web.archive.org/web/20060613141358/http://wow.allakhazam.com:80/dyn/items/wname8.html) that there are never, at any point of the game, two different sets of r14 weapons (buffed and unbuffed) in the game like you claim there were. You may verify the same situation with the Purple PvP set.. To keep it short: Buff in 1.11 20 June 2006 http://wowwiki.wikia.com/wiki/Patch_1.11.0 pre-buff stats https://web.archive.org/web/20050427224929/http://wow.allakhazam.com:80/db/itemset.html?setid=383 post-buff stats https://web.archive.org/web/20060722043017/http://wow.allakhazam.com:80/db/itemset.html?setid=383 no duplicate item sets https://web.archive.org/web/20060721093514/http://wow.allakhazam.com:80/db/itemset.html Notice however how the r7,r8,r10 sets have two wholly different unique sets with different item IDs for each set (Champion's Battlegear (58, old set) vs Champion's Battlearmor (60, new set), e g). This is because you are correct, THESE did only update at vendor. This should prove that even Blizzard themselves did not do DB magic and change items at the vendor only without actually adding them as new IDs. So, having proven your info wrong, can we get an official dev statement to clear up any confusion o nthis please? Will devs change the weapons to not update like they did on retail? I'm tired of conflicting info on this and would like to know if the devs plan to go a non-blizzlike route (adding buffed copies of the pre-1.6 weapons simply to exclude pre-1.6 rankers from them, for no reason explained as of yet) or if you're simply sharing misinfo. Thank you.

Hello. I'd like to preface all of this by saying that this is an issue that has been haunting me for the past month or more and has ruined my enjoyment of the game a fair bit. It's frustrated to be faced with the same stupid exploit every time there is an enemy priest who feels like abusing it. I would also like to add that any mention of Mind Control (or MC) refers strictly to the priest spell. To explain first what the exploit is about: Right now Mind Control is fairly buggy. Mind Controlled players will start using their skills randomly, and especially if they're warriors, they will often lose control of their character if the spell is used, then cancelled quickly after some specific movements (usually backpedaling the character). Some players abuse this circumstance by spamming mind control, then cancelling it after a second or two, so the target loses any and all (!) control over their character, often until they die, sometimes the "effect" breaks randomly. This means once this post-mindcontrol bugged state is triggered, it makes the victim completely unable to steer their character. It will either stand still and do nothing until death or it breaks randomly, or walk off to automatically to attack some unit (in BGs, often a friendly teammate. Yes, AFTER the MC is over. Not during it). To repeat, this isn't just being mind controlled. This is being mind controlled, then the priest (usually purposedly) triggers the bug, then the victim is unable to regain control over their character. Here's an example of it happening (to me) in burning steppes, by a band of players who purposedly abused it repeatedly and aimedly to get me killed by mobs, with myself having absolutely no control over my character while this is happening. This isn't a ticket or bug report. I'm merely making this example overly clear here so that it can be easily understood by anyone reading who might not be familiar with the bug. At this point I've already lost control of my character from the first mind control. I am unable to move my character as he's standing there. The effect randomly breaks, so I try to keep the priest from MCing me. For obvious reasons, he gets it off anyway. I am MCd and being walked backwards again to re-trigger the bug. The bug is at this point autowalking me after an imp that I'm not even targetting. This isn't a ticket or bug report. I'm merely making this example overly clear here so that it can be easily understood by anyone reading who might not be familiar with the bug. Now having explained this exploit, how it works, and having provided some evidence: I have had a lot of issues and bad experiences with GMs about it. The first time I've reported it, the GM was seemingly unable to understand that I am speaking of a bug involving MC, not just MC itself. He wasn't able to help me. No other GMs were able to help me much, but today, after it happened again, I was a bit fed up and opened yet another ticket with copious evidence to the exploiting. I then had a conversation with a GM, who told me it's ok to exploit this particular bug. I am hoping it's ok to post this here. The GM went offline after the last message so I did not have a chance to ask him for permission to post, so I blacked out his name just to be safe. So what I gather from this conversation is a) It's a known bug, which means people abusing it are exploiting b) this is tolerated as per policy for zeth'kur atleast c) I should post on the suggestions forum if I would like to see a change in this policy This is all just for context and I hope you understand that this large explanation seems very necessary from my end, as there seems to be a lot of confusion involved. Now to the actual suggestion: I believe this exploit is gamebreaking enough and the intentions of exploiters are clear enough to warrant an actual consequence for people who abuse it. I sort of fail to understand why it isn't being handled as such to begin with. Please consider punishing players who abuse this bug in the future. It's infuriating to become victim of someone who abuses this bug. It's even more infurating to collect evidence of it, then being told the exploit is being allowed. Thank you for your time. -Caber, Zeth'kur PS: If there are any issues with the formatting or content of this post, please let me know so that I can edit it.

				Raiding without addons + bigwigs
Caber replied to madebyrockets's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
...so what you're saying is, you rely on bigwigs timers (by having your raidlead call them out) but you act like you dont need them (by refusing to use it yourself) -
Thanks for your input, but this doesn't address the issue that was explained to you in great detail.
 -
Time is money. How would you feel if you were set back months in terms of whatever you do in the game? Gearing for PvE? Oops, all the BiS you got in the past month are now gone for reasons outside of your control. But you're not allowed to feel negatively about this because the game is 14 years old! And also it's free!

Update the pvp gear on Zeth/Ely with BWL patch
Caber replied to QQsya's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Ye, it's hard to follow a simple back and forth conversation if you're legally retarded, I guess. Seriously though quiet now, you're just shitposting because you're upset you don't understand the discussion. Make your own thread for that or something -

Update the pvp gear on Zeth/Ely with BWL patch
Caber replied to QQsya's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
>libtards wat? And no, you dont unlock "the full set of gear" with r14. It takes multiple weeks from r11 to r12, multiple weeks from r12-r13, and atleast 3 weeks from r13 to r14. Each of these steps gradually unlocks some gear to buy. How is this different from having to raid a few times to get your loot? It's not really. I guess raiding relies on RNG a bit but that point works both ways. Technically a rogue can get every single item he needs out of BWL in a single raid, I'm pretty sure. Here's a funfact. A warrior can raid MC once and get t1 off every single boss, then a BRE off rag, and he's already better geared than what multiple months of rank grind can get you. MOLTEN CORE. ONCE. -

How are you a real person, you clown. The bosses always drop items. There's always someone in raid who gets them. -

No, it doesn't take months to clear AND get the gear. You get gear the first time you clear it. Guaranteed to. -

Update the pvp gear on Zeth/Ely with BWL patch
Caber replied to QQsya's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
No, it doesn't take months to clear. Ragnaros drops Naxx tier weaponry on Ely/ZK right now and it was cleared in the literal first week of the server. Cthun was ded within a week of release on Ana too, wasn't he? You've stated this a lot, and there's quite a few counterpoints that you've been ignoring. -pve is already easier than on retail because of items that are buffed compared to what they should be like. -pve is already easier than on retail because of 1.12.1 talents. -pve is already easier than on retail because of addons such as bigwigs and comprehensive guides being around for every single fight. With all these things in mind (and please, do point if you don't think they're correct), "it would make pve easier" is kind of a shitty point. pve is already much easier than it was on retail due to various changes that many people consider positive. How many warriors would be motivated to raid as dps if Rag didn't drop the buffed Naxx-tier BRE on Ely/ZK? I hope you're not selectively blind as to this point again. I've repeatedly stated it and you've been repeatedly ignoring it. -

Update the pvp gear on Zeth/Ely with BWL patch
Caber replied to QQsya's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
You kind of shifted your argument from "it takes months for dedicated guilds to clear it" to "it takes months for guilds to clear it, and dedicated ones do it quick". Playing 24 hours a day seems like a feat of dedication to me either way, so I'm not sure where the mindset that it should go unrewarded comes from.
