    How is "Ninja" defined?

It's not a complicated question but it's a pointless question. We are a community and this is how the vast majority of the community play the game together. Why is it called ninja even? Why is need called need in the english language and not Muppflyff, who cares. Why is this the system we use, who cares, it's the system we use, and in we, I speak of the vast majority of the community in World of Warcraft and I base that claim on my observation of thousands of groups. And again, again: You can make any rules you want in your group. Just communicate with your group and come to an agreement. Personally I prefer if everyone just rolls need on every BoE/mats that drops as it's the most safe and fair system (the best system is on retail where BoE loot becomes soulbound if you click need). But it doesn't matter what I think as the community as a whole is rolling greed for gold and need for equip as default and breaking that unwritten rule without an agreement makes you a ninja.

I have never said people don't need gold, by the meaning of the word need. You are, again, playing with words. Words have different meaning if different contexts. In this game, the loot window have 2 options, they could be called anything. They are called Need, with a dice, and greed, with a gold coin. They could be called "equip" and "sell" just the same as that's how the vast majority of players use the words. If you roll specifically for gold, you click greed, that's what the gold coin is there to show you. If you don't think the actual gold coin icon matter and that it clearly show you that it means roll for goldcoins you are an idiot. It's not a matter of the word need, it's the matter of the meaning of the word GREED and the gold coin icon and how the community use the button. You roll for gold, you click on the gold icon. Get it? Probably not, but can you try and get it? Can you? Common, it's not that hard and complicated. In every single group I have been in for 9 years, thousands for groups, in EVERY one, unless the group have agreed on something else, if you click need on an item you intend on selling and not equipping, the other 4 players have called that player a ninja. And again: You can make any rules you want in your group. Just communicate with your group and come to an agreement.

    How is "Ninja" defined?

@Oakenlix Just shut up and listnen god damn. You can make any rules you want in your group. Just communicate with your group and come to an agreement. But right now, in World of Wacraft, today and since launch, this is the default system: Need=equip mainspec Greed=sell (there is a freaking gold coin as button), send to alt, use for offspec. There is a third is option for BoP loot that no mainspec needs, then it's ok to click need after asking in chat. You may agree to this like EVERY single group I have played in have for over 9 years, or you may disagree. If you disagree, you can either be a ninja and click need on items you don't equip for mainspec, or you come to an agreement with the group so everyone clicks need on rare items or what ever you want. You just spew out your pointless opinions and no one cares. This is the reality, how it works. We don't care what you think. Make your own rules in your own groups if you like but this is how it works for the vast majority of the community.

    How is "Ninja" defined?

Don't be silly an play with words. When the roll window shows up, there is a freaking gold coin as a greed button. You can make any rules you want in a group and roll need or greed or whatever as long as your group is ok with that but the default system for everyone who isn't an ninja: Need=equip mainspec Greed=sell (there is a freaking gold coin as button), send to alt, use for offspec. There is a third is option for BoP loot that no mainspec needs, then it's ok to click need after asking in chat. Anytime you want to deviate from this very simple and commonly used and accepted system you ASK and come to an AGREEMENT with your group. If not, you are a ninja. There are clever ninjas and there are stupid ninjas. The clever ninjas are for example druids who need on 2h weapons that no one need that have no stats and only procs. Those ninjas are smart, they live in the shadows as most people don't even realize they are a ninja that ninjad a handful fo gold from the group. Idiot ninjas click need on epic BoE loot when everyone else click greed, making some gold in the short run but may suffer from it in the future in a way they have no control over.
  5. Are you complaining that vanilla is grindy?

Need gold = greed, that's kinda the definition of greed, they Greed for gold, they don't need it. One thing that retail did that is genious is to make all BoE loot become soulbound if you click need as need = equip and greed=sell.

    How is "Ninja" defined?

It's not a ninja if the player is not in your group. A ninja is someone who clicks need on an item when he should click greed, loots a chest without a roll or taking mining nodes or herbs without a roll >in a group<. There is nothing in the rules that forbid ninja-looting but a player who is a group-leader and writes loot-rules and then breaks those rules as master-looter is a scammer and that is against the rules.
  8. It's not optimal to be a group while leveling in vanilla. You will actually level slower probably depending on situation. You can have more fun though. If I was you I would't focus on the "best" combination. Questing will be easy anyway with 2 players no matter what classes. Only time this really matters is in pvp and dungeons and dungeons are a tiny part of your leveling (you run them 1-2 times no point in running more really) so that leaves us with world pvp. If I was you I would chooses 2 classes and specs that are more fun for you and that works well in world-pvp. Aaaaand world-pvp is usually you getting ganked or ganking others who can't defend themselves so that really only leaves us with having fun. Choose the class you enjoy, done. But yeah, warrior+any heals is always strong. One downside would be when the shaman get's wolf at lvl 20 and can travel faster than the warrior. One thing that would be awesome, maybe world first epicness, 2 vanilla moonkins! Just sayin' ;)

    Is this really allowed ?

    Yes it's allowed: https://forum.elysium-project.org/topic/21966-terms-of-use-rules-regulations/
  10. You don't need to be heal-specced in dungeons at all. It's really a small difference. In Vanilla Gear > Talents.

    Just a thought

When you write "the fact", what does that mean for you? You have presented a claim that cross faction cooperation and communication have created "a nice goldselling environment", that, if I understand correct, people is buying gold as a result of this. If this is your claim, do you have evidence to support that claim? I am not saying you are wrong, I am just saying I would like to see evidence for your claims.

You ask what's the difference between something that is allowed and something that isn't allowed. Well the difference is that it's allowed. You should really ask WHY it's allowed. And that question can only Elysium answer.

Win-trading and cross faction honor farming is not allowed anywhere acording to that post.

Stop saying "if", it IS allowed until someone shows a rule or comment from a GameMaster stating that it's not. The default position is that something is allowed until you can demonstrate that it's not allowed. Go ahead, totally fine. I don't know why and for what gain, but cross faction communication and cooperation is allowed because it's not against the rules. Battlegrounds is a totally different story because here you can find clear info that cross faction cooperation and win-trading is forbidden! https://forum.elysium-project.org/topic/38545-win-trading/

You claim it's not allowed. Show me the rule or GameMaster who say this is not allowed. I don't need to ask anyhting as the rules are posted on the website for everyone to read. This is what the rules say: Elysium could at anytime write in the rules that cross faction communication and cooperation is not allowed, but they have chosen not to. This doesn't mean I agree, it just means, IT IS ALLOWED. Personally I think it should be banned but at the same time I understand the volunteering Game Masters have much more important things to spend their time on.

It is allowed. Get it? On this realm, it is allowed, no matter what the original developers did or did not intend. It is allowed HERE, today, right now, when we play now on this private server and these rules are decided by the people who run the server.

Actually it's not. I't s allowed. Plain and simple.

    Leveling as a new player

If I was you I would throw away that guide. You are missing out on a pretty epic experience by using a guild when leveling in vanilla! Maybe when you do your second or third alt you could use a guide. Just my two cents.
  21. 3-5k population is a large normal population in a wow server.

Why not read the damn rules:

    RIP China

I don't want to get into a legal discussion here. Morally you and everyone else is safe in my opinion. But you have bought a license to connect to blizzard servers and as soon as you connect to a private server even with a legal copy of the game you are committing piracy. But again, morally, totally fine. This is why it's silly to comment on what is legal or illegal in China when everyone here is breaking the law in every country. So get off your high horses..
