Losing old e-mail account. How to change to new one?
Fulzamoth replied to Qyou's topic in Help & Support
Nothing to be done, yet, but: "We are also aware that some users no longer have access to the email in which they signed up with. Our staff is working on a solution over the course of these 48 hours to make sure that you will be able to play as soon as possible and will provide an update as soon as we can." - Nerfherder, on Discord #news yesterday You can setup 2FA using WinAuth. It doesn't require a phone. -
Double check that the email in the green box that comes up when you click Send me the reset password email is your correct email address. If it isn't, you'll need to wait for the staff to sort out how they're going to handle that. "We are also aware that some users no longer have access to the email in which they signed up with. Changing data files can get you flagged. Custom UI elements that get installed under the Interface folder should be safe, as they just get picked up by the default interface.

It's a 5GB download, so depending on the speed of your Internet connection it could take some time. You're not doing anything wrong.

It's a good idea to post what you've done when looking for help, as well as what app you're using, device, etc. It'll get you more useful responses.

If iOS and you have your original QR code (always save that), delete the Elysium profile and set it up again. If on Android, 1. Go to the main menu on the Google Authenticator app 2. Tap More settings (three vertical dots), and then Settings. 3. Tap Time correction for codes 4. Tap Sync now If still not working, remove 2FA from your account (since you can login to website), and set it up again.
-
Shouldn't be an issue. Add 2FA as extra validation it's you.
-
Did you create an account or just try to transfer an old one? If you're sure you created one, the password recovery should work still.
-
Edit your message and remove your account info - no need for it to be public. Nost transfers are no more, so you'd have to create an account from scratch.

The 1.12.1 client works fine on Sierra. Run this: https://github.com/fulzamoth/Elysium-WoW-cfg-Mac/releases On the Utilities menu, run Repair Permissions Rebuild WoW Classic.app Validate files (Check MD5 hashes) Then go back to the main menu and run Configure new install

It keeps saying ''DISCONNECTED FROM SERVER''

Run one of these to get your setup configured properly Windows: https://github.com/fulzamoth/Elysium-WoW-cfg/releases Mac: https://github.com/fulzamoth/Elysium-WoW-cfg-Mac/releases -
Character restoration should be working now. Note though, that toon restores and gear restores are not the same thing. There aren't gear restores except for quest items.

Anyway to ignore /e and mailbox gold spammers?
Fulzamoth replied to Malagus's topic in Help & Support
You want Laytya's fork for SpamThrottle, not the original SpamThrottle from a couple of years back. The current version, 1.16a, added emote spam filtering. As for GMs online banning accounts: it's done constantly. Scroll back through announcements and you'll see messages about the numbers of accounts and thousands of gold that are being removed through bans. -
If on Windows, run: https://github.com/fulzamoth/Elysium-WoW-cfg/releases If on Mac, then: https://github.com/fulzamoth/Elysium-WoW-cfg-Mac/releases The script will make sure your setup is working.

Unfortunately Nost's data is long gone, so if it didn't transfer properly back then, there's nothing that can be done now.
-
You lost 7 hours today due to a rollback. Anything gained in that time - gold, XP, levels, items, etc. - are gone. It's a pain, but unavoidable with a database rollback.

Elysium config script for MAC users - config and fix various game issues.
Fulzamoth posted a topic in Help & Support
Here's a menu driven script for configuring and repairing Vanilla WoW installs on Mac. It's more capable than the Windows version right now because *bash* is easier than *Powershell*. https://github.com/fulzamoth/Elysium-WoW-cfg-Mac/releases Windows users should see the Elysium config script post instead. What does it do? configure a new install with correct realmlist information rebuild and fix common application problems check an existing configuration and fix any errors change realmName to fix specific realm disconnect issues clear cache files test connectivity to Elysium servers check the MD5 hashes of game data files reset chat windows How do I use it? If you're familar with using the command line in Terminal (or iTerm, etc): Download the ZIP file from the repository Releases page (link at top of post). Extract the ZIP file. Copy the extracted *Elysium-WoW-cfg.sh* file to your Vanilla World of Warcraft directory. In a terminal session, cd to your World of Warcraft directory and run ./Elysium-WoW-cfg.sh If you're not familiar with the command-line: Open System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts > Services and enable New Terminal at Folder Download the ZIP file from the repository Releases page (link at top of post). Extract the ZIP file. Copy the extracted Elysium-WoW-cfg.sh file to your Vanilla World of Warcraft directory. In Finder, right-click or control-click your World of Warcraft directory, and select Services > Open Terminal at Folder In the terminal window that comes up, type ./Elysium-WoW-cfg.sh Follow the menus from there. -
Elysium config script - setup new install & fix connection issues.
Fulzamoth posted a topic in Help & Support
Here's a script for setting up a new Vanilla WoW install or fixing connection issues. https://github.com/fulzamoth/Elysium-WoW-cfg/releases Mac users should see the Elysium config script [Mac] post instead. What does it do? The script does the following: Validates your WoW.exe is the right version (MD5 hash check) Writes a new realmlist.wtf Update WTF\config.wtf Clears any existing cache files Turn off compatibility mode (causes disconnects) Removes unnecessary EXE files (Optional) Creates a shortcut to the game on your desktop (Optional) Checks the MD5 hashes of game data files (Optional) How do I use it? Download the ZIP file from the repository Releases page (link at top of post). Extract the ZIP file. Copy the extracted Elysium-WoW-cfg.cmd file to your Vanilla World of Warcraft directory. In your World of Warcraft directory, double click Elysium-WoW-cfg.cmd to run the script. The script will prompt you: for which realm you want configured whether you want unnecessary executables disabled (to avoid firing up retail only EXEs by accident) to setup a shortcut to Elysium Project WoW on your desktop whether to run MD5 hash checks NOTE: The script may be sandboxed by some AV/Firewall applications, in which case changes made will be lost. If this is the case on your machine open a command prompt (shift--right-click on your WoW folder in Explorer, and select Open command window here), and run Elysium-WoW-cfg.cmd from the command line. 2017-04-05 - V1.1.0 Attempts to remove compatibility mode if it's been turned on. We've had reports of that causing disconnects. Cleaned up the display and provide an overview of what's going to be done. Better explanations at prompts. -
It's the folder above the realm name that's your account: WTF/<Account Name>/<Realm>/<Character Names>
-
From the Elysium Project Terms of Use When communicating with other users and staff, you may not: Send chat messages that has in any way been modified to change the publicly shown color of the respective message.
-
You definitely don't want to be running the launcher or downloaders. Did you do the full configuration (realmlist.wtf and config.wtf)? Try renaming the WTF folder to eliminiate any local config issues. If all else fails, try the script in the post at the top of the help forums. It'll config everything and run through checks to make sure your game files aren't corrupted.

Disconnected from server cant log back in read help section already
Fulzamoth replied to Jactaa's topic in Help & Support
Use the script in the post at the top of the Help & Support forums. It goes through the two config files and makes sure all connection settings are correct. If you continue to have trouble logging into the Elysium realm, try a different realm and then switching to Elysium if your login is successful. -
To change your game password: Go to https://elysium-project.org/control. If you are logged in, then logout, and go to the Control Panel again. Use the Forgot Your Password button on the logon screen. The email from that function will work.
-
The proxies are just alternate paths to connect you to the named server behind them, so the reason all your characters are on Darrowshire is you've been playing on it all along. Using the proxy servers is only necessary for some players with ISPs that have poor routing the the Elysium servers.
