Did you get this working. You may have been attempting during out maintenance window last night.
-
Even better, the plan is to copy characters, so you can play both Vanilla and TBC.

Toons from Elysium are on ice for the time being, and will be available again when Burning Crusade comes out. You'll need to roll new toons to play on Nighthaven. Most players left behind old toons to roll fresh, which is why the old realms were pulled offline - there was too few players.

Nighthaven PvP (Content Patch 1.4) — Development Update We discovered that the experience point gains for quests level 30 to 60 were incorrectly set to award the accelerated amount of experience points that Blizzard moved to at Patch 2.3 in November 2007. We have applied a fix to issue #276 that adjusts quest experience rewards to match the amounts given during the original Vanilla World of Warcraft days. Examples of the issue: Quest 1136 - Frostmaw (Level 37) - was giving 5550 XP instead of 4250 XP Quest 1691 - More Wastewander Justice (Level 44) - was giving 5300 XP instead of 3750 XP Quest 2641 - Sprinkle's Secret Ingredient (Level 49) - was giving 6550 XP instead of 4550 XP Quest 3882 - Roll the Bones (Level 51) - was giving 7050 XP instead of 4900 XP Quest 5213 - The Active Agent (Level 60) - was giving 14300 XP instead of 6850 XP The Quest XP increases can be seen on the original ThottBot pages, and looking at pre- and post-November 2007 versions of a quest page. For example: quest 5213 Pre-2.3: https://web.archive.org/web/20071103193148/http://thottbot.com:80/q5213 6850 XP Post-2.3: https://web.archive.org/web/20071228014539/http://thottbot.com:80/q5213 14300 XP

The 2.3 patch notes state they've increased the XP levels. There are no older patch notes stating they decreased the XP, so it's reasonable to go with the pre-2.3 XP levels being from Vanilla days.

You cannot. There are no character transfers onto Nighthaven.

Mac client crashes were a bug that crept in on Monday. They were fixed on Wednesday.
-
It was a bug that crept into the system after Monday's dev patch. It should be fixed now.

Error 132 is caused by one of two things (usually): Anti-Virus scans. Make sure your AV isn't scanning the game directory (add to exclusions). Data corruption. Extract the game archive you downloaded again.

Correct *realmlist.wtf* should have only one line: SET realmList logon.elysium-project.org
-
You'll need to go to the ban appeals section.
-
You need a new line between "end" and "/cast".
-
They cannot be played right now. Too few players were on the realm.
-
Character restores pull to an offline realm called Stratholme, and are only necessary if you played between July -> October. The toons from Elysium are not available for playing at this time, though. Nighthaven is a fresh realm with all new rolled toons on it.

The Fate of Nighthaven & future servers
Fulzamoth replied to Brynjulf's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
That is a question best asked in the mirror, as only you can justify where you spend your game time. -
That is the expected behaviour. Your game account and your forum account are separate. You need to create a game account to login.
-
Yes. The old realms are offline because the player population chose to move Nighthaven. A realm with 300 players isn't playable.

You completed all three stesp? Go to the basement and click out the barrel beside Jarven Thunderbrew. You'll get a message that it's guarded. Talk to Jarven Thunderbrew (he now has blue ? above him). You'll get this quest: Distracting Jarven Give Jarven the Thunder Ale from the Innkeeper upstairs. He'll walk upstairs. When he's away, click the barrel again.

Cursor issues are client side problems, not server related. It may be a driver issue - I've seen similar behaviour in VMs until I make changes to the settings on the VM (effectively a driver setting).
-
GM ticket is needed for in-game issues.
-
Delete the torch. It's a bug right now that's got dupes on some quests.
-
There were some issues related to Monday's development update that have since been fixed. Your best bet for current news is the Discord server.

Copypasta!

Is it Error 132 you're getting? If so, that's caused by one of two things: Your anti-virus software is scanning the game while it runs. Solution: add an exclusion for the game directory to your AV. You've got corrupted data files someplace. Solution: extract the game archive again (download again if necessary).

Mothballed for now, yes. The players voted by all moving to the new server, so the old one was pulled offline. 300 players is not viable. Toons will be available when TBC comes out.
