John2000, can you include the link to your guide? Thanks!

Why did you guys hijack this thread to debate something so stupid. It sounds like DM:N and DM:E are still viable. BRD is a pain in the ass now, with the changes to clearcast, although maybe it's still viable. BRD requires more concentration than I like to give to farming, so I haven't tested at length.

Looking to roll on Elysium, i play what u need
Gnog replied to Guardiansloth's topic in Guild Recruitment
Dude just roll a dwarf priest already. You will have your choice among guilds once you level up. What serious guild would recruit a level 0 player, when there are Level 60s with pre-bis who have shown their dedication to the server already by leveling and gearing? -
It's unfortunate. Sorry man. Contact me in game on alliance if you can't get your character back. Can lend some help perhaps, if you're alliance.
-
Play on Anathema or roll a new character on Elysium. The game is fun, no matter your level. If you quit over this, you were going to quit soon anyways.
-
The ranking decay seems unfair. I hope they can fix that. The loss of a reset... that's a bit nit-picky in the grand scheme of things, especially given that they allowed you to farm resources in the open world for more than a month in advance of the transfer.

I think NA is about 10% of the server's population but uses about 30% of its resources.

Sounds like a nice plan for a summer vacation...!

Awesome. Thank you. -
Not at all my experience leveling two toons to 60 on Elysium Alliance in the last three months. And I PUG constantly. Plenty of friendly players. And many Chinese players are good and speak adequate English. The worst part of the Elysium community is the minority of racists and bigots, like this poster, who, for some strange reason, think it's okay to stereotype and malign an entire segment of the community based on their language and national origin.

Consider eventual open transfers from ZK/Ely/Darrow -> Anathema in the future

Where did they all go? -
Go warlock if you want to be in demand almost always for groups and raids. There are more than enough rogues. Leveling a warrior as your first char on the server will likely be very painful, and you will struggle to farm gold at first for the things you need.

Update the pvp gear on Zeth/Ely with BWL patch
Gnog replied to QQsya's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
You can't get full BWL gear by playing a few hours once or twice a week. If you could, then you and the other PvP grinders would just spend a couple hours a week in BWL instead of embarking on this forum quest to upgrade your PvP gear. The PvE grind can take a lot of time, given the RNG and the number of people involved. -
Update the pvp gear on Zeth/Ely with BWL patch

You're asking for a change in the gear progression order that has been advertised on the Elysium timeline page. It upsets the reasonable expectations that people have based their gameplay on. -
Update the pvp gear on Zeth/Ely with BWL patch
Gnog replied to QQsya's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
This proposal is equally selfish and foolish. To change the timeline for PvP upgrades would be both non-blizzlike and violate the timeline posted on the Elysium progression page. Those are two fundamental principles that were held out to new players coming to this server, and they are part of the framework of incentives we've all been working under for the life of the server to date. Moving the PvP item upgrades forward by, what, 8 months or a year, would completely upend the payoff framework for PvE and PvP on this server. It would unfairly and without notice give greater rewards to BG grinding, and for what? So that you, OP, can have better gear sooner? Join a damn raid guild and respec each week as necessary to PvP. That's what the change in respect costs allow you to do. And stop forum lawyering. Just wow. -
I would love to see some positive words about Elysium!
Gnog replied to Gronnrock's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
I hear you. But honestly most people want to spend their free time in game enjoying these great servers, not on the forum writing about them. There are some great videos in the video section of the forum. Check those out as a start! -

Here you go: This server is the best I've ever played on, for any MMO, including vanilla wow when it was retail. You need to ignore the tiny fraction of people who post negative things on these forums in moments of frustration. -
If the proc on sunder armor is added, does ironfoe become the BiS threat tanking weapon for all of Vanilla until thunderfury?
-
Yea, this is normal. Fight lower level mobs if you want to miss less often.

To the warrior brain trust: I rolled a gnome warrior on Elysium PvP primarily to PvP. I also leveled a mage (L59 now) for farming. I'm hoping you can give some thoughts on how to focus my efforts between PvE and PvP. First a few details. For lots of reasons, I primarily want to PvP. But I also enjoy PvE, and I wouldn't mind raiding. I enjoy tanking, too, and I think I do it competently, whether in group or raid settings, although I'm not as attached to tanking as some raid tanks out there (you know the type). So a few questions. Assuming I cannot reach R12 or higher in PvP, is the best gear for PvP obtained through PvE? And how does that change over the upcoming timeline on Elysium? Would you say that, to be competitive in PvP (in terms of being viable in games, not rank grinding), the items from raiding (MC, BWL, AQ) become more and more important as the server progresses? In other words, if I don't get raid gear and I don't get R12, do I fall further and further behind in gear as Elysium progresses to BWL and beyond? Lastly, assuming I do indeed need to raid to get the best gear for PvP, how do you think I should go about it? I need to be MS spec for PvP. But (I assume) no good raiding guild will want me to raid in MS spec, if they even allow it at all. Then there is also the issue of gear selection. Obviously the BiS set for Prot, Fury, and PvP are markedly different (although with some overlap). In terms of my current gear progression, I have some decent pre-raid gear for all specs. But I have plenty of room to improve through pre-raid 60 dungeons and I'm definitely at a point of needing to focus my time and make a decision about raid spec (assuming I need to raid, see above). Your thoughts on how best to approach gearing/spec'ing would be appreciated. My tentative plan is to spend the next few weeks tanking 5/10-man to gather as much BiS as possible for all specs, and then respec between MS and fury each week for raids. But damn, that's a lot of respec costs. I have the mage, so that helps for farming, but still. Are there any other viable options? Thanks!

Gank Scene - am I missing something?
Gnog replied to Gnog's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
For me, it has been late March - now, for 2 characters. I've noticed a major change in the last 3 weeks. Basically since the beginning of May the ganking has been impressive. Maybe you're right that certain zones aren't too bad (EPL perhaps). But given the increase in systematic honor farming of questing alliance, I think there must have been a realization among more PvP horde that world PvP between BG queues is a meaningful or even necessary part of the PvP rank push. -

You know, One possibility is that you've been 60 for a little while and don't have a pulse on the current state of play. When did you level? What date ranges? -

Thanks, all, for confirming that there is no point to making a post seeking information on this forum. You guys are amazing at WoW. The best!!!! So glad to be sharing this server with you! But learn to read please. -
Gank Scene - am I missing something?
Gnog replied to Gnog's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
I have been to those. Un'Goro wasn't too bad. Maybe it's my play times or just bad luck. I'll give those zones another try. Just an aside, maybe don't say what people "clearly" have and have not done when you don't know what they've done and have only your own experience and inferences to draw on.
