Trolls regen 110% health regen and 10% of that in combat. http://wowwiki.wikia.com/wiki/Health_regeneration The only source I can find on the subject. Each tick is every 2 seconds and shaman get 11% spirit + 7 per tick health out of combat. at 100 spirit this would be roughly 2 hp per tick in combat as a troll. Passive health regen might be actively higher. It would take 30 spirit to equal 1 hp per 5. As a tank you would be better off finding avoidance stats in combination with stamina, agility, strength, and hit.

Why pvp in vanilla is actually balanced (does not include racials).
-
Buying gold would ruin the server economy, turn this project into a for profit, and push people away because you don't actually have to play the game to get what you want. If you want to buy gold just play the auction house game.
-
Can you break it down? I mean, if you want to play dirty you should have some dirt. Think about it this way: the enhance shaman pulls just barely 200 dps (low for a properly geared enhance shaman) however his strength of earth totem and windfury totem increases each party member's dps by 60 on average (probably low). That's 440 dps contributible to the shaman. Should a resto shaman be used in the melee group that is 1400 mana per caster missing wasted in a 2 minute fight. If you don't need the extra healer, shaman are great.
-
And how much dps and utility did you contribute to your party members? If you add that to your dps total it becomes a much more competitive number. There is a feral druid on kronos named Tf, and breaking down a few of the numbers he puts out the 3% critical chance aura puts him roughly 2nd place in dps for a few of the raids he has been in. And he has on average 10 ilvl lower gear. People look at the damage meters and assume that is all a dps brings. If you are a hybrid you made your group members even better at the price of lowering your visible contribution.
-
If your raid needs healers then it needs healers. And a resto shaman is many times more useful in a caster group with mana tide totem and mana spring totem. An enhancement shaman is really flexible on where the last 20 talent points go and most likely would put the points in the resto tree anyway for the free hit and healing flexibility. Not every guild has the pick of the litter and Enhancement shamans more than contribute their fair share when played and used correctly.
-
Enhancement Shaman are great for melee groups. Windfury totem and Strength of Earth totem should be enough to cement your spot in a melee group. You also provide other utility such as resistance and group threat control.
-
If your raid does not need an extra healer and can still benefit from your buffs Then it wouldn't be beyond reason to include you as you provide a lot of utility. Your contribution to dps indirectly is huge and you have within your power the ability to control your group's threat generation directly. You provide resistance and passive healing. If you aren't carrying your weight there are two options: your raid setup is bad or you suck. If there is a melee group consisting of only rogues and warriors most likely you would fit nice and snuggly in that group.
-
Kronos has: Healing Stream Totem - 65% - 2.16% per tick (30) Not saying it's right or not, but it seems pretty fair for a passive drop and forget.
-
You quoted it. In reality after thinking about it, it really would depend on how long the fight lasts. At equal number of activations, the ZG trinket would be better. If the fight runs long and you can activate ToEP a 3rd time, it's better.

Is dps warrior valued in raids at the beginning?
Whitewolf replied to Bagger's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
"ar·ro·gant ˈerəɡənt/ adjective having or revealing an exaggerated sense of one's own importance or abilities." Bagger hasn't exaggerated anything or written any expectation of people accepting anything except those that don't care about it. This is a game, not a job nor enslavement. There are people who think differently than you. Not everyone thinks efficient is fun. You seem ignorant of the facts that there is more than one person who thinks that way and more than one way to play a game. If you want to have a min/maxed raid, go right ahead, but there is no reason for you to impose your limitations on others when you can clear almost all content without them. -
I bet the dream is + green whelp armor. Too bad mages can't wear leather.

My theorycraft build: http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#sVVzZVhZEf0tbcq Talents, debuff slots, and depending on the weapon are selfish. First, the weapon of choice: Shortsword of Vengeance Reason? It uses a casted spell of smite that has a cast time of 2 seconds and it has a fairly high proc rate. According to one commenter it was 9-10 ppm Debuff slots of rank 1-6 JotC. Can increase holy damage taken by up to 430-812 depending on items and talents used. Using SoR it should increase dps on average between 82-146 not including reductions caused by resists and misses or Sanctity Aura and Vengeance increasing the damage. Because of the slow speed it is not as good at regenerating mana as the Manual Crowd Pummeler but I think the damage increase is worth the gold and time saved farming pummelers. Because it is a BoE world drop pummeler is a great secondary choice not only for the great increase in dps but also for the 20 mana per second more than the shortsword. I have a lot more building to go especially because I'm on elysium and I don't know the itemization changes that were made from 1.3-1.12. I'm also wanting to form a majority paladin priest raid far in the future to take advantage of this and to see how effective a mostly holy raid can be. Thoughts, suggestions? Rip the few things I came up with apart.

The problem with using Holy shock is that you miss out on other important talents such as precision which if you are human would make you only need 2% hit to cap. You also miss out on the damage talents such as vengeance or weapon specialization. If you don't have a ret focused paladin in the group you miss out on sanctity aura too. Also the fast attack speed weapon you will want to use makes SoC useless. Holy shock costs mana and can be resisted frequently, reducing its damage contribution. Holy power should have no effect on SoC as it uses melee crit.

I can't actually prove it. However Theloras has found evidence for the way Wrath of Cenarius works: https://github.com/elysium-project/server/issues/420#issuecomment-299076326
-
They spammed the cheap spells for efficiency not because of a lack of proccing as Arcane missiles is the highest damage per cast spell.
-
Glad you were able to find more information. I was really sure it procced multiple times on AM when my friend and I tested it in vanilla (he was the one with the ring).
-
I am currently gaining a flat 30% bonus on SoR from JotC no matter the attack speed on Elysium. I don't have any spell damage to test that in comparison. I do have Imp. SoR so I don't know if that is affecting it. Should be 50%.
-
Simple math says the ZG trinket is better on average for healing: inconsistent casting, burst healing, using slow cast spells, and still usable twice in a 3 minute fight. The average healing bonus is 204 if you were to use the 12 globals necessary to end the buff and higher if you don't. For spell damage the talisman of ephemeral power is drastically better unless you cast 3 or less spells in the 20 sec. Its also usable 3 times if the fight ran a little long
-
Do you happen to know the coefficient for that? With 812 extra spell damage that would have to be a huge damage spike on coodown.
-
I'm thinking about removing Imp SoR because Theloras said it doesn't benefit from sanctity aura and vengeance. The build is about maximizing SoR damage as it scales the best and mana gain to use more high ranking spells. After reviewing my math, the shortsword of Vengeance wouldn't be best in slot because of the loss of mana gain even though on a fully debuffed target it wins out especially when 1.11 comes out with libram of fervor. A fury warrior dualwielding them could achieve over 300 dps just from the procs alone. The SoC is there because it's either that, imp ret aura, or parry and SoC can have its uses in pvp.
-
Would holy wands benefit from crusader? Are there other items that deal holy damage?
-
Imp SoR/JoR scaled with vengeance and sanctity aura correct?
-
If you are fire I would definitely recommend going frost or PoM Pyro for pvp. Frost for more control and pyro for that burst potential.

A lot of hunter in the past didn't know that baron rivendare's runeblade give health per 5. That health per 5 is increased by spell damage and healing. 100 spell damage will give you 20 hp per second. That's like 3 spirit bonds together. I have yet to try it out on the server, but this server is supposed to be Blizz like so I would think they would have it working.
