Just wondering if Corrupted Blood will happen here as it did in the real WoW back in the day. I started playing WoW about a year too late to experience it firsthand, so I hope it hasn't been patched here either. I've seen the youtube videos of The Corrupted Blood Incident, and want to go through it here as it happened way back when.

I've tried changing my password 3 times in the last day, and it does not work. I got the email in my email, but there's nothing in it to click on or acknowledge to make it go through. EDIT - I got it changed. Had to click the blue link.

I haven't played for a good month or so, due to being busy with other things, plus the drama here that had things down for a while. My dwarf hunter was up to level 18, and I don't want to keep re-running characters from level 1 every time someone here decides to reset everything. Plus, with Blizzard bringing out Vanilla servers, even though they will probably futz around for another year getting them ready before they begin, what's the sense of running a character here at all when I will probably never come back once the real realms are online?

I had restored my character a couple weeks ago as directed. Now when I go to login and play, he's not there. What happened? My realmlist login file is: set realmlist logon.elysium-project.org . I also tried "lights-hope" in place of "Elysium-project", but nothing is there, no character. I had made a level 1 bank alt and he's not there either. Dafuq is happening? I think the Elysium people stopped trying when Blizzard announced their upcoming Vanilla servers at Blizzcon.

3 years ago, after playing WoW for over 7 years, I soloed Tempest Keep - The Eye on my level 95 Dwarf Hunter and Ashes of Al'ar FINALLY dropped for me! Now, to run TK with a max geared 25 man raid (with 25 competent players) for the phoenix seems insane.

I'd like to login and watch some of Blizzcon while I am at home today, but I sure as hell ain't paying $40 for the privilege!!! Anyone got a login they can share? Thanks!

And none of this matters once Blizzard starts up their new Vanilla servers!!!

I started playing Elysium vanilla wow a few weeks before the whole rigamarole began. I think the servers are back up now, aren't they? But I can't log in, When I click my desktop login icon, it lets me type my password, thinks for a few seconds, then says "disconnected from server". I remember having to change the one file in the WoW client when I first started playing, do I need to change it again to direct me to the new Elysium / Light's Hope server or whatever? And if so, what's the full syntax to put in that login script file?

Yes, announce it here. I don't want to go installing more software that I will only use once.

I do not understand how changing the server means anything. Are you referring to a new physical box, or a new realm name, or both? I'll go back to Elysium in a minute and think nothing of it.

I am happy to continue playing on Elysium or Lights Hope, if Elysium becomes Lights Hope, as I like playing Vanilla. But I would like to have my character replaced. I had a level 18 Dwarf Hunter with 12 gold in the bank, 115 Mining and about 60 Herbalism. If they are rolling back to an early September database, that's before I began playing here. Don't want to re-grind 18 levels. I wouldn't mind donating $10 or so to help get the new system set up right, if we had a big fundraiser for it.

You don't need a new physical server. Just upgrade the entire thing to run Elysium on a virtual machine, which will isolate it from anything else happening on the server.

I assume the online population is reported directly by the server, since it is only one server and not a cluster of servers, as it is displayed here on the site, so it should always be accurate, minute by minute. Even if it were a cluster, one server would be handling logins, so it would know how many are online at any given time.

Way back in 2006, after seeing the South Park episode, I began playing WoW, and after some time, I realized that Mining / Skinning were the way to make money on the Andorhal realm, before it became a ghost town. Once Burning Crusade came out, I switched to Mining / Engineering when I hit level 70 to make my own Turbo Roflcopter. My main has been Mining / Engineering ever since, and always made good money. Now that I am on Elysium and at level 16, Mining / Skinning doesn't pay anywhere near what I am used to seeing. A 20 stack of copper isn't even 1 gold, and Skinning is far worse for selling on AH. I figured I would swap Skinning for Engineering eventually, but with so many people on Elysium, it takes a long time to get even 1 20 stack of copper ore, too many people ganking my mining nodes. Any suggestions for professions? Got to make the money!

I've got about 8 gold so far at level 17. I put everything on AH except the really useless crap, which goes to vendors. I haven't mined much, people keep ganking my nodes, so there's not much ore, I'm only about 55 in Mining so far. I was in an area of Westfall the other day where I had 3 green knives drop off Defias people in a half hour, those were 30 silver each on AH. I was Skinning too, but the leather was going so cheaply it wasn't worth the hassle of the extra mouse clicks and time. In the real WoW, I used to always smelt ore into bars to put on AH, but here, ore goes for about the same price, so I usually just put it on as ore. I guess people would prospect it, but didn't Prospecting come out as part of Jewelcrafting in much later expansions of WoW, which we don't have here?

There's a website called www.purepwnage.com. It's a gamer site. Not as good as loudmouthtim.com , but not bad at all. They started a gamer web series back in 2004, and in 2008, after the death of one cast member, it largely died, although they did go on to have a tv series in Canada, some special videos, and made a movie last year. No true WoW player could not like these 2 videos: In 2005-2006, they had a couple episodes focused on WoW, and here's 2 songs they made about WoW. This one mentions a few raid instances specifically, "Strat and Scholo, UBRS....." and it's pretty good. Then they made a Christmas special song and video, shot in Dun Morogh.
