This bug affects mostly Mac users, but not universally. It has been removed from the game and reintroduced, for unknown reasons. In the text below, zeppelin may be substituted for boat. It manifests itself as when a boat crosses a loading screen, the character appears in a featureless, blue/green/grey area. They can not move, or use their hearthstone. They can be summoned. If this happens, make a ticket. State from where and to where your character were travelling. It is unlikely that the GM team will be able to respond quickly. I would suggest logging on to an alt. You may add the alt's name to the ticket. This will allow the GM who fixes the problem to let you know. To avoid this. Jump over the dividing line between the dock and the ship. As soon as the ship starts to move, log off. With the 20 second countdown, your character should log off before the loading screen. Wait for 2 minutes and 15 seconds (usually true) and then log in again. This should place you on the boat at your destination.

This happens from time to time. One solution is to put all the quest items into your bank. Delete the WDB folder. To do this, exit WoW, do not just log off. Go to the WoW folder, find the WDB folder, delete this folder. Restart WoW. Get your items from the bank. Use a right click to move them to your inventory, then try to turn the quest in again. If the quest still can not be turned in, it is possible with most quests to abandon the quest without losing the quest items. Click on abandon quest in the quest log. If the game does not warn you that you will lose the items, you can abandon and re-accept the quest from the quest giver. it will usually be able to be completed at this stage. Sometimes the game will warn you about losing an item given at the start of the quest, but not any other quest items. Normally this item can be reacquired on re-accepting the quest. The fact that you have killed a certain number of NPCs will not be preserved. Abandoning other quests, however, will warn that all the quest items will be destroyed. This is often not true. But, to be sure, take a screenshot of the items to include your inventory and character name. If you have tried these techniques with no success, make a new ticket. Use the full name of the quest; state that you have deposited the items in the bank, abandoned or otherwise the quest, and have restarted WoW; state that you have deleted the WDB folder.

WoW caches certain information in files inside the WDB folder. This folder is inside the WoW folder. The private server software deals with these caches less well than the original servers did. From time to time, and when advised, it it s a good thing to clear this folder, and to let WoW rebuild its caches. To do this, exit WoW, do not just log off - this is important. Go to the WoW folder, find the WDB folder, delete this folder. Restart WoW.

From time to time, a boss will not drop loot as expected. In this case we will provide replacement providing the proper evidence is sent to us. There should be one ticket, multiple tickets slow us down, confuse the situation and can lead to refusal. This ticket should come from the raid leader or a nominated replacement. If the person sending the ticket is not the raid leader, they should say on the ticket in what capacity they are sending the ticket, and indicate that the named raid leader has asked them to. The evidence should be in the form of a video. This video need not be the whole raid, just the segment showing the events below. Other than that, the segment should be unedited. A link to this should be on the ticket.The video should show at a minimum unedited a little before the the boss encounter the boss kill the looting attempt either with its either whole or partial failure a clear view of the raid ID interface should be shown - if it not legible on standard monitors using standard software, it may be refused Shows the full names of every raid member present at the time of the kill If the video is long, the times of the above events (time- stamps) should be stated on the ticket. The video should be uploaded to a site that does not require registration or special software to view. It is important to understand that this evidence is essential to a successful request. All players are expected to provide this information. If they do not provide it, we will not provide loot. Please Only one ticket from each failure. Either from the raid leader or his designate. If you are a designate, indicate who the leader is. If your request is accepted A senior GM will generate a list of loot to be awarded. This will be communicated to the raid leader or designate. They should return a list of who should receive those items. The GM will either send those items by mail or deposit them into a character's inventory. If the list is "wrong", we can not help. I am sorry that your character/account has been hacked. Please secure and change both your Email account & In Game account passwords IMMEDIATELY if you have not already done so. Thank you for reporting these gold spammers. We find this useful. However, some reports are more useful than others. Accessing the chat logs is very time consuming and, given the small numbers of GMs, not a productive use of our time. Similarly, it is far from easy to see mail in your mailbox. The most useful spam reports include a link to a screenshot showing the spam, or spam mail. You can reduce the size of the image to show the relevant area. These screenshots can be uploaded to a site like imgur. Please, no sites that require subscriptions etc. We can then use that as evidence. In the absence of evidence, we can not ban an account. Also, adding the names of the spammer(s) is helpful. It takes us a second to check if the person has been already banned, much longer to access the screenshot and then check. We get a very large number of these reports. We only restore quest related items and rewards. Please do not ask about any others. If you have a quest related item or reward, please make a ticket. The ticket should contain the following information. The name of the item(s), their IDs, the name of the quest(s) that they relate to. the quest(s) IDs. Each item should be on a separate line. Example Carrot on a Stick 11122 Gahz'rilla 2770 Blackhand's Breadth 13965 General Drakkisath's Demise 5102 Please note Checks will be made as to eligibility. These can be done whether you are on-line or off-line. Checks will be made as to the possession of other rewards from the quest - do not try to get two rewards. Some items are the rewards from different quests, depending on the faction, Blackhand's Breadth is awarded by General Drakkisath's Demise for alliance characters, For The Horde! for horde characters. Ensure that you are providing the correct one. There are some items that share a name with another, for example, there are six Stormpike Insignia. Make sure that you are asking for the correct one. The IDs can be obtained from Wowhead or http://db.vanillagaming.org or similar. As an example, in the address bar, if may say http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=20809#wh-comments - the quest has the ID 20809. Similarly for items. The quest data in the record shows the item rewarded. Please do not delete one in the hope of being restored the other. IMPORTANT: There is a loose limit on the number of times that you can ask for items to be restored. If we are of the impression that the service is being abused, we will deny restoration.

I'm sure everyone here is tired of characters spamming gold selling websites in every major city, in public chats... everywhere. Players don't understand why they are so prevalent here, but the truth is that gold selling organizations are a player-driven economy. Players may put the fault on the Elysium Project, but the only fault of the Elysium Project in this regard is the sheer number of its population, especially when we account for inactive players. Gold buying is very prevalent in this community, and most just think they will get away with it. This is a problem that all players need to have better awareness about and actively work together as a community to end this malicious scourge. The problem here is not the mentality that you are breaking the rules. There are many reasons Elysium Project has these rules in place. One of the very large reasons is how malicious gold selling organizations really are to the community. Let's take a second here and review this website: https://haveibeenpwned.com/ This website is a collection of all the large scale breaches. Feel free to try and putting your e-mail address in there, to see if you have been affected by any breach. What this website does not do, however, is account for any previous WoW private server that has had its database breached. An administrator of a dead private server has no sympathies when leaking or selling an old database full of player account credentials. This is one of the largest reasons we have so many compromised accounts here. Gold selling organizations will literally attempt to compromise accounts either through these old databases, or through brute force hacking. Elysium Project has been actively fighting against the latter, by enabling a temporary lockout if you try logging in too many times. Elysium Project has also enabled two-factor authentication to protect player accounts from these malicious attacks. As I volunteered here as a GM, I handled many different ban appeals. The amount of appeals Elysium Project receives for compromised accounts needing to be unbanned is staggering. While mainly accounts that have been inactive for more than a month are the most common targets, there are plenty of examples of players who are playing normally and then get their account locked the next day because it was compromised. Not only do these gold selling organizations compromise players accounts, but they also strip them of all items and gold they have, and send it away. And the icing on the cake is that they then use these accounts maliciously to bot and spam their gold selling websites that you guys see every day. We have active organizations here that compromise accounts, completely wiping them and then using them to spam all day long. And these organizations are funded by you, the players. The intensity of this spam shows how prevalent they are in this community. If regular players think there is nothing they can do besides report these guys, they are plain wrong. I strongly urge all of you to take the time to change your password, and enable two-factor authentication. You guys all put so much work into gearing up your character and making them the best they can be. Can you imagine that just because you have not taken these simple steps, that you could lose all of your gold and gear tomorrow? You could literally log in the next day, and find your character stripped of everything. And the kicker here is that Elysium Project staff will reimburse you little to nothing. Beyond that, it is essential for you guys to not socially allow an attitude that encourages gold buying. If you or a friend of yours has bought gold, just know that you are aiding these organizations, and you are literally funding for players accounts to be compromised and the malicious existence that is gold sellers. Players need to take a stand against gold sellers, and to create awareness of how destructive they are here. If you or a friend of yours is thinking about buying gold, I hope you will listen to what I have said here and take note that the only reason all of this exists is because of players that don't want to take the time to earn gold. Edit: Also, if you are going to enable two-factor authentication, it is essential that you save that e-mail with the QR code for later use. If you get a new phone, or your current phone breaks, etc.... It is a huge struggle to get this manually disabled, trust me.

Welcome to Elysium! We are a vanilla World of Warcraft project, striving to be as Blizzlike as possible. This means that your game play experience should be as close to 2004-2006 as we can possibly make it. As such, all of our rates are 1x and quests, spells and instances work the way they did back in the day. Please read this thread if you are a new player (or an old returning one wanting a refresher) before posting questions or issues. Getting started You will see a short cutscene that ends with your character in the starting area for your race. Before you do anything else, you should press Esc to bring up the menu. Go to options. Unless you are running WoW on a 10-year old laptop, you can safely maximize all graphics settings. You should also go to Keybinds and change them to suit your playing style. You cannot edit the interface here - you need addons for that. Please refer to our UI, Addon & Macros forum for available options - industrious people are still churning out vanilla addons for us all to use! That done, you should see an NPC with a yellow exclamation mark over their head. He or she will give you your first quest. The game also offers you helpful hints on the screen as you start, that cover the basics of gameplay. The best way to get started is to do these initial quests and read the tips, getting accustomed to how the game runs. Remember that you can easily die at level 1 - don't fight too many mobs (MObile OBjects) at the same time! It is usually helpful to group up with other players, especially for kill quests. The credit for kills is shared between all party members, so kill quests are completed quickly. It is considered polite to ask other people first, before sending an invite to their way. Later on, you will come across elite quests and dungeon quests - these are very difficult to solo, so it's better to find a group to do them with. Remember that WoW is a social game! Don't worry if you die - it will happen! Just run back to your corpse, resurrect yourself and get back to questing. Hopefully this thread has been useful to you. Enjoy your time on Azeroth!

Character creation & Realm selection Now that you've logged in, you must choose which of our 2 realms to pick from. You can create characters and play on both realms with a single account. Nighthaven PvP - PvP realm, you can find information about it HERE. PTR - Public Test Realm: You can test the things you are interested in testing here with 10x increased rates for faster testing. Please note that all characters from this realm will be removed, if you want to level, we suggest you to play on Nighthaven realm for now. Once you have selected your realm, you can create your character. If you have not played vanilla WoW before, a fair warning is in place: not all races can be all classes. Druids, for example, are only available to Night-Elves (Alliance) and Tauren (Horde). Paladins are only available on Alliance side and Shamans are only available on Horde side. You should check out our class forums for more information. One last thing before you enter the world. On the bottom left corner, there is a button for Addons. Click it to open a list of Addons that WoW recognizes. Don't worry if this list is empty - the important thing to do here is to change the amount of memory (RAM) available. You can safely put it up to 256 Mb or even 512 if you have plenty. Remember that the client was made for 2004 and computers had fair bit less memory on them back then. You should not use 0 as it means dynamic memory allocation as this can cause hiccups with the client when it runs out of memory and has to allocate more.

Troubleshooting Remember that you cannot run WoW from inside an archive, you must extract it properly first. Read above how to do that. If WoW refuses to start at all, you might need to run it as Administrator. Right-click on the file "wow.exe", go to properties and in the window that pops up, toggle "Run as administrator" on. Save, close and try again. If you get a complete blank screen at launch, but you can hear music, the problem is with your graphics settings. New computers might not have DirectX9 installed and later versions of DirectX miss some functions of that one. Microsoft still offers it as a free download, so get it and install it, see if that fixes your problem. If you cannot save realmlist.wtf file after editing it, you probably installed WoW under Program Files. Move it elsewhere and try again. If the problem still persist, right-click on the file, click properties, and toggle "Read Only" off at the little window that comes up. If your problem isn't listed here, please check out our Help & Support forum. Search it first, in case someone else has had your exact problem - if not, please make a thread and we will try to help you.

Registering an account You cannot play with just a client. You need an account. Go to our account creation page. Note that you need a valid email address to register. Please don't use a throwaway account, as you need this email to be able to change your password. There is no other option for changing your password! When choosing your username and password, few things to keep in mind: 1. Please do not use the same combination that you've used on other private servers. This is the most common reason for accounts being compromised. 2. Remember that the maximum length of each is 15 characters. 3. Pick something that is easy to write but difficult to guess. Don't just use 1234 as your password. 4. Elysium staff will NEVER ask you for your password! 5. You should not share your account details with anyone else, ever.Installing WoW 1.12.1

Installing WoW 1.12.1 You can use any World of Warcraft client to play, as long as it's version 1.12.1. Where you got it from doesn't really matter. You can Google around for one, but we also provide some handy links for you to download it from: Elysium Client Once the download is complete, you might have just a single file, named wow.zip or wow.rar. This means that the file is an archive and needs to be extracted first. The best program for that job is 7-Zip. Once you have 7-Zip installed, you can just double-click the wow.zip or wow.rar file and 7-Zip will open it up. Select "Extract to" and give a destination folder. NEVER INSTALL WOW UNDER PROGRAM FILES You will only make life difficult for yourself in the future if you do. C:\Games\WoW is a good place or something similar. This is because ever after Windows Vista, Windows tries to protect important files, making life difficult for gamers who wish to fiddle with the game files. And you will fiddle with them. If your download is not an archive, you can just move it from your download directory to wherever you wish to play it from. The next step is to go into the new wow folder and locate a file called "realmlist.wtf" - it might only show up as "realmlist", that's fine. Right-click on it and select "Open with" and once Windows asks you what program to use, locate Notepad and use that. Remove everything that is in there and copy & paste the following: set realmlist logon.elysium-project.org Save and close Notepad. Finally, right-click on the file "wow.exe" and select "send to desktop". This will create a shortcut on your desktop that launches World of Warcraft. You should not use the launcher as that is useless with private servers. Congratulations, your client is ready to go!

GMs are doing a great job and there is like no tickets, even tho in game it says it is, dont worry, just open a ticket when you get a chance and Im sure a GM will take it right away! :)

GM has unmuted you, even tho you were offline, it should work. Please let us know if you are still experiencing the same issue.

There are many people experiencing the same issue and out GMs are doing their best to work on them. However, please, leave a GM ticket opened in-game and since I don't have in-game permissions, I will let a GM know asap. Regards, Adorabelle.

Hello, Alkyd. -I'd say mage is an option if you are a fighter, mages are very independent leveling wise, as much as world PvP wise. Also, they have a good escape. -Rogue/Druid, also not hard leveling wise, strong PvP wise if you do decide to fight back and they are pretty sneaky, you can just stealth away or around the enemies and keep questing. But you do have to understand that PvP server comes with lots of unfair PvP and you might get killed once in a while by higher levels, but hey, keep your head up, we have all been there. Those are 3 classes I would pick, nothing official. Every class takes some practice but I'm sure you will do just fine.
