Looking for leveling friends

Recommended Posts

I would like to try to enjoy the leveling process, as well as end game content. Something that will help me enjoy the game is if I can find some people I enjoy playing with, and progress with them. Leveling by myself gets old quick. Joining a guild doesn't seem to help much during the leveling process. It just seems to add a green text channel where you can hear from other people, but not much more than that usually.

I figure it is worth a shot to see if I can find just a few people who would like to level and progress as a team. Are there some people here who would like to attempt to make a team work through leveling and beyond? This sort of idea often seems to appeal to a lot of people so long as it does not cost them anything or inconvenience them in any way; but I find very few are willing to do what it takes to really make it work. Playing as a team often requires being able to set aside your own personal ambition and glory from time to time. It may require waiting occasionally or going out of your way to help a team member.

There are several options we have for working together as a team to level. We can quest and level together by trying to be on at arranged times, schedule instance runs, or some combination. We can work out the details of what works best as we go along.

I like to be on voice coms (discord, ts, etc) most/all of the time. Even if it is not needed, I find it more enjoyable to play with people I can talk to and easier to become friends that way.

I live in the US but have flexible game time so EU times should work for me as well. If we get a few people interested then we will just have to see what we can work out between schedules. I would like to play at least 3 times a week for a few hours, more if others in the team are up for it.

Initially, I rolled horde on this server but I don't mind re-rolling. Faction is not important to me. I will gladly play warrior, warlock, mage, hunter, or priest and will likely pick something that goes well with whatever class you want to play.

Either joining an existing guild or forming a new one would be fine with me. I don't want to be in charge of a guild, but I would be willing to help run one if someone else wants to build one. I am allergic to drama and have very low BS tolerance. I would prefer to play with adults or more mature people.

I would love to play with people who have not played wow or vanilla wow before, or someone who wants to try a new class. I would rather not play with someone who selects a class they will be bored with while leveling. I want to play with people who will learn and improve, but will have room to try new things.

I like to be methodical, efficient, and proficient when I play. However, I want to reach this state by making my own path when I can. I prefer not to follow class or leveling guides. To me that takes some of the adventure and fun out of the game. I can afford to be a little slower or have a few ticks less on the damage meter if it means I can enjoy the game more.

If this does interest people reply here or PM me. I can set up a discord channel easily enough if there is some interest.

I often get complaints about my forum post length, and expect that will happen here as well. If you can't handle reading a page or two of text we probably won't be friends.

If you would like to try to make some of these ideas work I would love to hear from you.

Guest Oxpheyr

Welcome to Elysium JonDoh!

If you want someone to level with I'm an Undead Rogue at level 13 called Oxpheyr on Elysium  :P (I'm from Spain, so I play normally on morning or night in my timezone: UTC/GMT +2 Hours), so we can go when we meet to a TS or Discord and level together. Hit me up with a PM if you want to or Whisper me In-game~

P.S: I'm gonna do a PVE EU guild when I have the level and the money to do it, so if you want to do leveling and dungeons in a group you can join it and help me to decide the name, tabard and all that good stuff.
