HP Regen too High

Hi! I'm an old wow player that has spent some time seeking a good vanilla server. I believe that what makes people want to play in private Vanilla servers is the sense of challenge and difficulty that the old WOW Vanilla provided; people joined in groups and communities to face the challenges the game presented and this made lasting bonds between people. After testing some vanilla servers I decided (for various reasons) that here is where I want to play. I think is the more "Blizzlike" server I've found. But there's one thing that I don't like, The HP Regen it's NOT Blizzlike at all.

   One of the challenges of leveling up a character is maintaining good enough reserves of food to regain health (taking care of your wounds) after combat but, the INSANE amount of HP Regeneration in this server completely breaks that point and reduce the sense of adventuring and the challenge of leveling up to a point that you don't need food at all. Food was ESSENTIAL while leveling up characters like warriors and rogues.

  I created a human warrior and at level 2 I had 79 HP and after a battle with a level 4 mob I was left with 10 HP and in a matter of 2 or 3 seconds my life was full again; that is absurd and not BLIZZLIKE. I hope that you can fix that to make the server even more BLIZZLIKE.

I leave a link that shows the HP/Regen like it should be. I don't know if those are the correct Vanilla HP Regen but at least it makes much more sense.

Our formulas based on your link. In low level It may seem very fast, but this is a false impression. You can check yourself restoring health to these formulas and make sure that everything is working as it should.

Just wanted to note that it is possible your impression by false formuls used on the emulator cmangos, which in turn is used by many vanilla servers

My warrior have 23 spirit which according to the formula (23*0.8) +6 = 24.4 HP/ every 2 sec. I tested it and is good.

I tried a level 1 warlock and according to the formula he has to regenerate (23*0.07) +6 = 7.6 HP/every 2 sec, but it regenerates 22 HP/every 2 sec. The error seems to be that you by mistake multiply the spirit*0.7 +6 = 22.1; the variable in the formula has to be change to 0.07.

Tried a priest and he regenerates 2 HP/every 2 sec which seems that he's regenerating only from spirit and the adding variable +6 it's not been used maybe because in the wowwiki article that variable is showed with a "?"

Tried a mage and it's the same as the priest.

Tried the hunter and it's good.

The druid good too.

The pally good too.

 

The Chaman I don't test it because I had to create another account just for that.

 

It seems the only broken is the warlock that regenerates way too much.
