Syn 2 Report post Posted November 11, 2016 I think there is a misconception in the understanding of a PVP server. No one should mistakenly presume that everyone on a PVP realm is concerned about ganking and PVP. On the contrary, the PVP aspect is just a bonus to our life. My first character was on a PVPRP server called Lightninghoof back in 2005, a 13 months after Vanilla released. My main concern was leveling, but sometimes its was fun to engage in some PVP with other players in contested zones, e.g. STV or AH. It helped gauge your characters strength. I think everyone's end game goal is different, some want to raid and others want to PVP in battlegrounds, but most of us like to do both, and its really fun taking raid sets into PVP unlike retail WoW. I think PVP realms are how World of Warcraft were meant to be played. I mean the penalty for death is not as severe as the old classic everquest PVP servers. At worst you'll be ganked, but if you're on the new server you'll most likely be on an equal playing field with your enemy. You can always avoid highly contested areas or group with others in the zone to negate being singled out by someone. Honestly, I'm looking forward to the economic approach. I'm want to race to 60, so I'll be avoiding all PVP as much as possible. I'll also be avoiding the AH - I'll create a mule that I can send all my auction items to. I want to hit 60 within the first week of the new server if the launch is stable. I'll then have a grace period of farming before everyone catches up. I can then be squared away to do endgame dungeons and the entry stages of raiding and character development. I missed Nostalrius, and I intend to pull out all the stops on this server. If this is everything I think its going to be. I think this is the last chance to relive a Vanilla start, from scratch, day one. I'm ваууing excited and I'm taking it way to serious. So Vye, it sounds like you will be rolling a fresh character on the Fresh PvP realm? If so, I would love to join you and be mates! I am located in Sydney, Australia which is UTC/GMT +11. I am available to play each week night from approximately 10pm. Does that suit your playing shedule at all? I also dive head first in to endeavours such as this one. I may not be able to play all day every day any more due to work and family, etc. However, when I do sit down and play, I am very serious about the experience and getting as much out of it as possible. I want to be a serious raider who holds a core DPS role as a Mage in a serious and successful guild and raiding group. Let me know what you think of all of this. We have time to iron out the kinks Cheers! Syn

Skavander 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2016 Probably PvE which was at least manageable, if smaller population-wise, compared to all the Chinese action old PvP server saw and new one undoubtedly will as well unless something is done about it. But really it still depends on how things turn out.
