Forum issue -- Can't edit post?

Hey guys, just made a new release for questie, I went to go edit my post here: https://forum.elysium-project.org/index.php?showtopic=23008

 

but I'm unable to edit the OP, only the most recent reply? It is very important that I be able to edit that post to keep it up to date.

 

 

If this is intentional I must insist it be changed. It's essential people be able to edit their posts. Not only for AddOn developers like myself but also for guilds.

See and this is what I mean. So many people will be affected by this. Seeing as it has been moved to the suggestion forum I can only assume it's intentional.

You have to understand, whatever negatives are mitigated by not allowing people to edit their posts (If there are any) pale in comparison to the problems that are created.

All it does is hurt the content creators of this community, just look at the people in this thread and the other. Imagine how many people will be turned off and just not post about it when they go to try and write a guild roster or recruitment thread or some helpful guide!



Again, if this is an intentional design decision, it's a very bad one that is detrimental to everyone. Especially the people who contribute useful content to the community.


I'm not trying to sound entitled or over-dramatic, it's just that this is just so hugely detrimental to the community that is currently trying to rebuild it's self. Admins if you are reading this, please go into the admin CP and change it right now. I know IPBoards supports it. It's not going to cause any problems for anyone, just do it. There is nothing to discuss internally.
