The tale of CLINK and how to fix it.. (Prat users)

But, for those people who use Prat, can anyone explain why it shows CLINK to everyone else and why does it break for non Prat users or how to resolve the issue?

 

I haven't tested ModUI in awhile, but is there a way to resolve it, because CLINK in chat is just annoying in my opinion

Nice work dude , many times i tried to tell people to check and fix it , since i don't use it myself i don't know how but it happens very often people to have this problem.

For a solution on the receiver's end I made this a while ago: https://github.com/shirsig/linkmend/blob/master/linkmend.lua

Turns clinks into regular ones (and some other fixes on links, like translating into your language if it's in your cache)

In real Vanilla items weren't linkable in other chats except trade chat in a city. Prat made it possible with other people with the addon.

 

I know thats not the answer you wanted but thought i'd explain why it shows clink
