Nost Account Compromised

Hello, Staff.

 

When nostalrius shut down I joined a bunch of p-servers and I was stupid enough to use my nostalrius user/pass on a couple servers. As I was leveling my warrior on kronos 2, fresh server, I logged into my level 40 warrior and all my items were sold and all the gold was traded off the account. A few days later my account was flagged for “gold seller” spamming in chat and banned. My kronos 2 account was compromised and I believe it was because a p-server (maybe PlayTBC) had sold the database to a gold seller.

 

Anyways fast forward, and nostalrius is re-opening and I am worried for my account security. I joined nostalrius in the very early days and did not associate an email with my account. I am extremely worried that I my nostalrius account is compromised.

 

I had 100 days in game /played and would be heartbroken to log into my account to find everything sold.

 

Is there any way that I can change my user/pass and add an email to my account before Dec 17^th?

 

My forum account on the original nostalrius forum is the same as my in-game name, which is associated with my email. If that helps validate the account. Also, this forum account is associated with that same email.

The dilemma you have will unfortunately will have to wait until launch day. The website or database is not yet setup to handle password/account recovery requests as of yet. The issue with the ban is that the Elysium's team view is that all bans from Nost are final.

I was not banned from nostalrius, but on another p-server (kronos2), since the account information was leaked and gold sellers used it to advertise on world chat.

 

I'm sure there is many other cases like this, and people have not realized that their account information has been compromised. I hope that there will be a way to change account information ASAP, or even before the server release as this could give gold sellers a lot leverage. I know this server strives to reduce gold selling, and the best way to counter this at the moment is to implement some way to secure our user/pass.

I think you will be fine as long as on release day you change your password ASAP.
