Unable to log in to Control Panel

Greetings,

 

I created a game account, completed the e-mail verification, and went to the Nostalrius token site and successfully created a token.

 

But when trying to activate this token I got the error saying that I must use the same IP.

Seeing that this has been a common error I figured I would log out and back in to try again.

 

But I am unable to log back in to my game account through the Control Panel.

All I get is the error message "Invalid credentials", even though they undoubtedly are correct.

I have also tried logging in through several different browsers and in incognito mode.

 

I also tried to create the account again, but then I got the error message "This value is already used" for both the user name and the e-mail address.

So the account clearly does exist.

 

My account name is alphanumerical, as required, but I did use a bunch of symbols in my password.

However, I cannot see how this is an issue considering that I am not even able to reset the password.

 

Is there a known issue with this? Haven't seen any other threads concerning this particular problem.

Hi Binjzy,

Right now - this is the first I've heard of this issue.

Have you tried going to the control panel, typing in your username, and hitting "Forgot your password?"?

As long as your username and email provided is correct, you should be able to regain access in case you accidentally typed your password wrong during creation.

Give that a shot and let me know how it goes.

I am also unable to log in to the control panel, but I get an "invalid credentials" error message. I tried the I forgot my password but nothing happened. I can log in to the website fine but not the control panel to transfer my 2 nost accounts

I had had trouble with the verification of email so I changed the email to a gmail account and received the verification from you, so not sure if that has something to do with it.

I have logged out completely and then back in but still get the same error message

Yes, I have tried this multiple times in different browsers.

 

If I type in my account name and click "Forgot your password?" I get prompted to fill out the password field with a popup message saying "Please fill out this field".

 

If I type in my account name AND my password I get the same message saying "Invalid credentials" regardless if I click the "Log in" button or the "Forgot your password?" button.

 

And yet, as stated above, if I try to create a new account with the same information I get a message saying "This value is already used". Quite confusing.

It sounds to me like somehow your password was either input incorrectly or, for whatever reason, didn't translate to the database correctly. Perhaps the use of symbols as you suggested?

Either way, we're working on a fix for the Forgotten Password link atm. Keep an eye on social media & Discord #news channel for updates.

It is quite possible that my password contains some characters that your database does not recognize. Just trying to stay safe here.

 

If I am able to reset my password at some point this should be no problem. At the moment that button/link is stopping me.

It's definitely possible! We're expecting a fix for the Forgotten Password link tomorrow at some point - ideally.

I also encounter problems while trying to login to the control panel and i just receive the information "invalid credentials" i tryed to reverify my account but this wasn't possible as it was verify succesful the first time. 

I can log into the forum (as you can see) i have tried refreshing the control panel page but also without any luck.

Forum account will may differ from the account you create on the control panel.

Thank you for fixing the password reset function!

 

I have now logged in and successfully transferred my Nostalrius characters. And there was much rejoicing!

 

It seems that accepted passwords can only include alphanumeric characters, just like usernames.

This seems like somewhat of a safety flaw to me. I'm used to using all kinds of symbols like £$% etc. and language specific letters in passwords.

You might wanna look into this later on when the server launch is over and things are settling in.

 

On a side note, I noticed that fresh level 1 characters on my account were not transferred. Bank characters were though, so no stress.

It doesn't really matter, but just out of curiosity; is this intentional? Had some level 1's that were only logged into once or so.

I have the same problem as you had @Binjzy, but I still cannot reset my password. I fill in the "username" and "email" do the, "I'm not a robot" and click send, but I don't recieve the email. Any suggestions?

I never had any trouble receiving e-mails, so dunno man.

 

Symbols in my password not being identified and a faulty password reset link were my issues it seems.

 

Maybe your account isn't properly validated, or some typo snuck in there during creation.
