[AddOn] SmallerRollframes - Make your roll frames smaller!

Greetings,

 

quite a while ago, a good friend of mine asked me to create an Addon that looks and feels similar to XLootGroup because the default roll frames were too big for him. This is what I've come up with and I'd like to share it with you too!

You can drag the bottom most frame around (the others are "glued" to it) by typing "/smrf toggle move" in chat.

This is pretty cool Actually really cool. If you added the option to customize it abit, scale, change background color or transparency and so on, it would be even cooler!

I like your interface more. However I would love to see you implement the functionality this has with marking things as "auto-need" or "auto-greed"

I'm glad you like it! However, I'm not sure about adding too much more to it because I kinda like how slim the addon is. You can just throw it into your addon folder without the need to worry about it increasing your loading times in a measurable way. I might create an "extended" version of it or a second addon which adds all the flashy stuff, but I have to think about it a little bit more. Would you install a second addon that adds extras to the first one?

There is no options window nor any chat commands besides the "toggle move" one. But you could go into the Addons .xml file and alter it if you really want to change how the Addon looks. I honestly like the simplicity of this Addon and I'd rather keep it this way.

However, since I keep getting these requests I'm considering to create another Addon that'll provide some extra features for those who want to customize the look a little bit. But that's something that has to wait for a few weeks so that I can finish my current project.

 

So stay tuned if you want more than just sleeker roll frames.

One more feature request. Two in one :D

1. When people roll need/greed, showing number on buttons, so I could see if someone needed on crafting material and need as well w/out scrolling and parsing chat.
2. Add keybinding to need/greed/pass buttons. This could be really useful because sometimes you are busy fighting and honestly roll buttons are too small at 1920x1080, I would love to just press a button.
