WoW Launcher Mac - Please help!

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I've just downloaded WoW on Mac and changed the realmlist.wtf to the correct one. Go to launch it and keeps saying: 'World of Warcraft quit unexpectedly. Click Reopen to open the application again. Click Report to see more detailed information and send a report to Apple.'

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks,

Pat

you know, for now...right click on the folder go to "get info"  and make sure the privileges are set to read and write.  also go inside to the launcher itself and make sure it says the same thing too.

Where did you get the WoW client for Mac, Xanstorm117? I've been trying to get one working as well.

Hi there,

Since I have read the mac client got so many problems (boat/zepplin crashs). I have found this way :

http://wineskin.urgesoftware.com/tiki-index.php

Just DL the windows client and use it VIA this app. It should works well. At least it worked for me. But ofc cannot connect yet.

Enjoy/

Ahh wrapping up the windows client in wineskin is not a good universal solution except for dealing with the zep/boat bug that we don't know is present yet.  It introduces different problems.

The best solution is to get Mac online with a native launcher first.  If no other choice is available, I'd use wineskin, but I'd definately wait til that's apparent.

I'd also, if that bug is present, highly recommend running native mac except for when getting on boats and switching clients.  If that proves to be necessary here, I'll def look to uploading a completed wrapped version of wineskin for everyone to use.

I am almost certain that the zep bug will be fixed at lauch so there is no need to switch clients anymore.

And for my experience i am not happy with the wine-launched windows-client. I only use it for the transport issue.

It is definitely more laggy in graphics.

Hi, could anyone confirm that there is no DC problem while using boats and zepplin with the MAC version ? I am actually using winery and everything is fine unless I have an issue to bind some keys on my mousse - it's like driver PB and I don't know how to make WINE recognize my mousse other buttons...
