Mouse Is Frozen After Downloading And Launching Game

    I just downloaded the game and updated the DirectX as per the Beginner's Guide in forums. I got the game to launch, but it was in a smaller windowed form. After the cinematic, I was on the ELUA page and the mouse/hand would not move. I know it works because after a few minutes of playng with it, I got it to scroll over the Accept button. I played with this to get thru the ELUA pages but still has no visible moving hand on the main character page. I can get things to light up by mousing around, but the hand is still stuck in one place. Anyone have any way of making the mouse visable and working again? Thx!

Seems like it may be an issue with your default resolution settings.  I am at work for the night, so I don't have access to my wow folder atm, however you are able to edit your resolution settings looking in your WoW folder.  Try changing it in there to a resolution that matches what you have your monitor at and relaunching the application after.

Try closing out of World of Warcraft and performing the following steps:

1. Right click anywhere on the desktop and select Screen Resolution

2. Click on Make text and other items larger or smaller

3. Change the size of text to Smaller - 100% (default)

4. Apply, click on Log off now and restart

To fix mine, I went into options (not easy without a mouse) and under Advanced settings, changed the option "Hardware Cursor" to disabled.

I just did your suggestion, Ellipsea, and it the cursor is working! The screen is still small, but I believe I can fix that. Thx again for both of your posts and comments, Ellipsea and Undertanker! Can't wait for the launch!
