Can't login, Can't reset PW Can't register new account.

Hey guys,

 

I made an Elysium account last week and it seemed to be working fine.

 

I never did recieve a verification email for my game account but i did for my forums account.

 

The problem I am having now is I can't login to the control panel, it says "invalid credentials" and if I select forgot my password and enter my info, nothing happens!

 

So I can't login to my account to finish transferring my Nost character.

 

What can I do?

 

I even tried to make a new game account with a different email and nothing happens when I hit register. I have tried all of the steps above in Chrome, IE and Firefox.

Make an account under "play now" on the homepage. Your forum account is not a control panel account.

 

Thanks for trying to help but you didn't read my post at all. I am talking about the play now account.

I did read your post "I made an account last week".

Sure wasn't a play now account since registrations started Monday. Make a new account.

Ok maybe it wasn't last week but a few days ago is what I should have said, sorry. 

 

Like i said though, I am making a new account right now with the play now account and nothing happens. I do not get a message or verification email.

Are you using a UK domain email address?   A lot of people have reported extreme delays in receiving those or none at all.  Verify you've checked your spam folders and trash as well.

 

If still a no-go, can always create a gmail email and create a new account that way to see if you get it.  If you do, then it is an issue with the domain rejecting those or filtering the emails out before it hits your inbox.

I just got it working by using a totally new gmail account, I went ahead and transferred my character to my new email account, hopefully I won't get banned in the future for using a different email address but I had no choice.

 

I would say you were right about it rejecting before getting to my inbox, I never received a registration email for my playnow account, I did however get one for the forums account :). This would explain why I wasn't able to use the password recovery tool.

 

Anyways i'm all set now, thanks for the help.

No problem.  You shouldn't worry about a "ban" just because your email now if different.  Having the same email as your original just helps those that have account security issues at the moment that they are attempting to move their account to a new "play-now" account.   If it isn't the same email for them, it looks suspicious.  

 

 

Glad I could help.  The Admins are very busy and if the community can help each other out, they can focus more time on escalated issues.
