Where can I find "Realmlist.wtl"?

Having been unable to download the client from the current Elysium page, I instead followed advice to download the former Nostalrius client and simply transfer to the new realms when installed.

 

This download actually worked, but I can't find the "Realmlist.wtl" that I am meant to rename. Can anyone guide me?

 

Also, before installing, I am asked to set up an account on the install screen. As I have created an account already with the Elysium Project, I can just ignore this?

Okay, I've had a rummage, found the Realmlist.wtl and have renamed it. Have also uninstalled WoW, so it can be reinstalled with the amended file.

 

If it sounds like I've done the correct thing, if I reinstall, what should I do at the install screen where it mentions needing an account? Skip straight through?

 

I take it that I can install the client, but won't be able to login and play until the 17th?

go get yer wow folder back if you can, there's no reason to throw the whole dang thing away just because you amended yer realmlist to the proper server.

 

Ya just threw away 5gbs of application for a 30kb file.  oh man.

So, have now (correctly) changed the contents of the Realmlist folder, do I just install the client? I already have my play account.

Took a chance and installed the client. All seems good now.

 

So, should I now wait until the 17th to choose a realm and character, or can I do these things in advance?

ya wait til the time comes. recently we haven't even been able to login just to look at the realms offline. : )
