Bonus point if you have the exact date! Aveton 8 Report post Posted December 17, 2016 I think it was 2008. I started to play on local LAN TBC server. My very first character was night elf warrior (was choosen by default). I entered the game and understand absolutely nothing. Being 100% noob I tried to attack NPC guards in start arrea. Then I started thinking that these NPC is a roleplay players and tried to speak with them like "hello! who are you?". I remember that I did not understand anything but the world was so magical, so athmospheric, so beautiful. I just ran and watched around... My friend and I had been looking forward to the game for a while, but we expected it to be more like C&C: Renegade, Team Fortress or some kind of AoE. Enhancement 12 Report post Posted December 17, 2016 (edited) US launch day. At the time I was playing Everquest 2 and didn't know much about Warcraft or WoW. All I knew is it looked pretty cool and I wanted to try it. Once I logged in, I never went back to EQ2, and Vanilla WoW has been my favorite MMO since.
