Vulenoy 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2016 My demons are all named Pet. The character was transferred from old Nostalrius. Resummoning and relogging did nothing.
void_echo 10 Report post Posted December 18, 2016 Seems to be the case for all summons and pets.
void_echo 10 Report post Posted December 26, 2016 (edited) Since this is likely not a "bug" that can be fixed in the code (the names display just fine when you rename a pet or abandon and resummon a demon), but a field that was overlooked and wasn't properly imported from the Nost database, will it ever be fixed or should everyone just abandon their summons and retrain them? Will there be a refund of the gold needed for retraining? Will pets/summons that are currently named "Pet" ever get unique names back automatically? This is not just a simple cosmetic issue, it breaks various PvP macros and hinders BG gameplay so any official info would be nice. ka.ba 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2016 Highly doubt it'll get fixed or that you'll get a refund for new grimoires. You all get free mounts so I'm sure you have some spare gold. ¶;~)

You all get free mounts so I'm sure you have some spare gold. ¶;~) The problems are that when every warlock and hunter in a BG has a pet named "Pet", you have no idea which one has which pet at a glance when they're close together, and you can't make macros for quick targeting to banish/fear them, which is especially bad and to use the buzzword, non-Blizzlike, with warlocks who normally have unique demon names by design (and can't rename them to their own name, which hunters often do to mess up targeting for their opponents).
