Yo'ho, Warlocks.  Not satisfied with the terrifying name "Pet" for each of your demon servants?  Fear not (or do -- you're/we're Warlocks) -- there is a fix.

 

MACRO:

/script PetAbandon();

 

1) Summon demon

2) Click macro

 > demon will vanish

3) Summon demon

 > demon will have randomly-generated name

4) Don't like that name?  Click macro again, demon disappears, re-summon (naturally, this consumes soulshards for all non-Imp demons)

 

TAKE NOTE: this macro causes the "new" demon to have zero demon skills, so you must purchase each tome again and re-train your demon in the dark arts of demon-ry.  Small price to pay to get a minion of the deepest abyss with a truly monstrous moniker.  (Or, you can keep "Pet").

 

What's my imp's name?   Pizrot!!  (Originally, Aztik -- which I liked because my dog's name is Aztec... TRU-FAX)

Doubtful. Only thing they could do would be to reset all names that are currently pet.

No, Check the patch notes. They removed the ability to change your pet's name because they deemed it an EXPLOIT.
