Denbts 3 Report post Posted December 21, 2016 (edited) In addition to the fact that TBC servers are hard to script to begin with, here are some of the additional changes that would have to be made: - Every outland zone would presumably be the same level. This means the gold rewards from every single leveling zone quest would have to be tweaked to mirror the rewards from SMV and Netherstorm quests, or else leveling zones would remain largely untouched. - Or, if you wanted TBC leveling zones to be 48-60 instead of 58-70, every 48-60 old world leveling zone would become dead, and we're not even sure what kind of bugs would ensue, because that's code that's never been written before, not even by Blizzard. Additionally, all Outland quest rewards would have to be scaled down by an arbitrary amount. - All TBC gear would have to be scaled down by an arbitrary amount. - All TBC spells would have to be scaled down by an arbitrary amount. - All TBC raid content would have to be scaled down by an arbitrary amount. Is Karazahn supposed to be harder than Naxx, for example? - Either all TBC raid content would have to be capable of supporting 40 players while retaining its difficulty, or else guilds would be forced to run four separate Karazahn raids at a time upon clearing Naxx. Considering all the 25-man content is harder than Kara, you'd end up having to either bench 15 players from your roster (but keep them so you could still run 40-mans), or else create a second-string 25-man group with ten players in it who weren't even good enough to make the cut for 40-mans. - How would we implement 41-point talents that are active abilities if we can't have 41 talents? Or would we just get ten extra talent points at level 60? If that's the case, would people leveling 1-59 also have TBC talent trees? gotmilk0112 10 Report post Posted December 21, 2016 (edited) ^Bruh. He doesn't mean TBC content scaled down to level 60, he means playing patch 2.4.3 but with level 60 cap and only vanilla content, kinda like how primalwow is patch 3.3.5 with level 60 cap. And dafuq you mean "can't have 41 talents" ? Level 10-60 is 51 talent points. Edited December 21, 2016 by gotmilk0112
Denbts 3 Report post Posted December 21, 2016 (edited) Meant we can't have 41 talents in one tree. Also I have no idea whether he meant Primal style or TBC content capped at 60, but his wording made me think the latter. Dennydust 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2016 Sounds like wayy too much trouble for what it's worth, and it's not even blizzlike. I see a lot of room for errors, like WHOOPS that mob still does level 70 damage, all over the place. Not to mention Vanilla is still better than TBC... Blood Elves & Draenei suck, resilience sucks, really easy gladiator epics from battlegrounds sucks, Flying Mounts suck (reduces world pvp by a lot). There's good and bad... but overall, lets just not even talk about it here haha, it's just not going to happen like that, if it ever does.
