Abandon the quest - logout - quit - delete WDB - login - retake quest - should work then.

Abandoning and retaking the quest fixed it by itself! Why didn't I try this already you ask? The answer is simple - I am indeed an idiot. Thanks a lot Zappa, illegitimate or not you'll always have my respect.
