My Gold has disappeared.

I logged in today on my 60 priest. Did my normal stuff, sold enchants and waited for PUGs to pop up for raids I weren't locked to. At the time I had about 300g. I logged off about an hour and a half ago to go eat some food. I logged back in and all my gold is gone. I still have all my items and my bank is still there. But allt he gold I had is just gone.

 

One of the strange things is, this isn't just happening to me. Apparently several people were logging in and reporting this in trade chat. I made a note that it was happening to everyone of every level.

Has to be a breach then. Because I've talked with 10 other players about the same issue. All their gold was gone too. I mean, yeah its likely that my account could be hacked. And it could be a single incident but its not. I logged in today and one of the first things I see in trade chat is "has anyone else's gold disappeared". I've talked to a GM on and the possibility of a security breach in the system.

 

So hopefully they can get to the bottom of it lol. Unfortunately, I'm out 300g that I'll never get back now lmao.

Happened to me and someone in guild I know.

 

Except I didn't just lose my gold: Everything that wasn't equipped was either transferred to someone else or vendored.

I suggest not having the same password as on Nostalrius, I highly advice you to change it immediately if you haven't.

Probably is the damn website doesn't work to where you can change anything on your account lol. The control panel is just a page to where you can donate if you want and the only way to change password is to click the "I forgot my password" and they send you a new password request email.

 

Back to the issue at hand, the more people I talk to the more reason I think that none of the accounts were hacked and that its a bug with the game. The only thing that was missing was the gold. I had all my silver and copper still there and none of the items I had in my bank were missing either. It's just really weird. Idk, its all just speculation at this point and we won't get any word on this until someone on the team comments or makes an announcement.

Logged in this afternoon at 12pm EST and my gold was gone as well.  Messaged a few people in game saying it happened to them as well.

So just to confirm.....

 

I logged in this morning and all the gold I had was gone (about 170). Thing is, only the gold disappeared, the silver was still there. Now if the account was hacked, why would the hacker not take the 3-4 gold worth of silver too? That makes no sense whatsoever. In addition, I had an arcanite bar which sold in the AH so if the account was hacked, they were prepared to go to the mailbox and check to see if there were any AH sales, but not prepared to go to the nearest vendor and sell all the equipment? 

 

So for me, i think this is server side.

Same here, except i couldn't change my password because yesterday website was down (i tried for hours at various times of day to reset pass) and then they accessed my account again and now gear is gone as well. ( Actual BiS items.....)
