I have seen a mod post in a ban appeal that you should not use your account name, but email is just insane. Procto 9 Report post Posted December 30, 2016 (edited) Wow Emulator DB is encrypted by SHA1 encryption BUT the account you make is done through the website which is linked to the emulator, when you make an account through the website the name + password can get stored & saved, so I advise people to always change password INGAME .account(not your acc name, just account) xiaolove10 (oldpassword) xiaogold9539 xiaogold9539 (new password twice) This is a conspiracy theory but I'm pretty sure the hacking is done by Feenix. And by pretty sure I'm really not, but the only ones out there that could have the capacity to do this, SHA1 encryption takes ages to break, and former Feenix staff has mentioned that they did indeed store account information upon registration on their website, so it doesn't really matter that the emulator db is protected(typo edit) by SHA1 because they just run an automated script to mass-login on these stored accounts.
