Zenkoden 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2016 So I have a working version of gatherer, but no idea how to import or share databases. Any help would be appreciated
Tolle 3 Report post Posted January 3, 2017 (edited) I'm the author of a database project compatible with the Emerald Dream spawns, but it appears to not match with Nostalrius PvP. I can however tell you that the DB works a little different on this server than other vanilla servers. Here's what's in common: database is stored in the "gatherer.lua" file which gets updated each time you exit the game, adding nodes you have found into the file. This file is usually saved in WoW Classic/WTF/Account/[Account name]/SavedVariables. On this server, it appears to be saved in the same location but starting from a different directive. Go to C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\ and from here find the above location. Sharing a database requires copying a saved "gatherer.lua" file from this location. Importing a database means finding a "gatherer.lua" file with as many nodes as possible (my project's file was 308 kb) and putting into mentioned folder. Start up WoW and the nodes will appear on your world map. Edit: A little over a year ago I shared the database with someone from Nostalrius PvE and they claim that the nodes are somewhat the same meaning the database can be of use. I'll try to confirm this myself in-game. Edited January 3, 2017 by Tolle Updated info from Reddit
Tolle 3 Report post Posted January 4, 2017 I can now confirm that the data from the Emerald Dream database project does NOT match Nostalrius nodes. HOWEVER, several nodes are the same (although slightly off), so the data can be used to indicate which areas are good general herbalism leveling and gathering.
