Secondly I would say from personal experience around 99% of players who do Ban Appeals actually did do something wrong, and this is WHY they got banned, and WHY they were flagged. I've yet to play a game in the past 15 years where I got randomly banned for "nothing" and it wasn't "my fault". Perhaps you didn't buy any gold, maybe you used the same password from other WoW servers which could have been compromised and a hacker got into your account and started to use it to sell gold with. Regardless this is your responsibility, you should use a unique password everywhere. Pretty much this. Every private server it's the same thing. People play. People break the rules. People expect to get away with it. When they dont, they blame the "corrupt and incompetent staff". They flame the entire project, because obviously they just randomly ban people, I mean why else would you start a private server? They say it's all a waste of time, they make rage posts, they say the server is going to be dead in X amount of time anyway, so don't bother. It's always the same thing. The entire "Gold Selling/Account hacking" issue is known by EVERY player on the servers, PvP & PvE and HAS BEEN KNOWN for quite a while now!!!! Ive had numerous players on my FL & in my Guild have their accounts hacked & Gold/Items stolen. However, where they differ from the majority of people who post here is that they THEN change their account information immediately! Its NOT rocket science ffs!! Nowadays i dont hear about anyone getting hacked tbh, & imo thats due to tightening of security on personal accounts. Also, if you find yourself PERMbanned, then create a new account. IF you love the game half as much as others do (myself included) then this shouldn't be too much of an issue. Heck, one poor soul lost a Lv60, 55,48,42, 34 & a new 16, just coz of the "usual" (same password used on other server :/ ). He's back immediately rolling a new toon with a , & i qoute " I aint letting no (insert expletives/racial slurs) ruin my WoW experience, F*&K Em!"
