IzZaGod 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2017 Ok so this is my first time ever playing on a WoW free server and I've always loved vanilla WoW the best so im very excited but i have a few questions about the Elysium and Nostalrius teams and the servers. 1. I heard Blizzard is shutting down Nostalrius or has already (no idea) so are the Nostalrius servers that i just created my new character on going to completely shut down or will it still be there? 2. Im looking forward to playing on the fresh Elysium pvp server on January 7th so should i bother making a character right now on the Nostalrius pvp server? I know it can be transferred but is it worth the hassle? 3. Are Elysium and Nostalrius joining each other to make one team? Or will they stay separate? 4. Mimma 10 Report post Posted January 2, 2017 Welcome to Elysium :-) 1. The team has already said they will not shut down the servers unless Blizzard themself launches legacy servers. 2. You can make a character to "learn" to play again :-) .. if you have the time and want some fun, then go ahead. I know it can be transferred I assume you mean "can't" here 3. Nostalrius is dead. Some of the people from Nostalrius' joined Elysium. 4. No, Elysium already operated before under the Valkyrie name AFAIK. Holkan 13 Report post Posted January 2, 2017 Blizzard shut down nostalrius awhile ago elysium is rehosting the database with their characters as of dec 17th 2016. The fresh server elysium on Jan 7th wont allow you to transfer a character from anywhere you have to make a new one. As far as playing on nostalrius goes does playing 1-16 or whatever level and then playing on fresh instead sound fun ? will leveling 1-16 be for fun for you? If yes play if not don't play. The teams are separate and won't work together. Some of the gm's from nostalrius joined elysium.
