Question about possibly bannable offense

Is it bannable to change text in linked items and post it in world chat?

Going out on a limb and going to say you are referring to the people who are linking Thunderfury but it shows as different text?

From my understanding as long as the text doesn't violate any of the rules then it's fine otherwise I am sure there would be a ton of players with ban appeals for changing linked item text.
