Recommended Posts

Hey,

I've downloaded the wow client from elysium, but every time i try to log in i instantly get "Dissconnected from the server". I had already changed realmlist.

Please help.

Open your config.wtf file which is located in the sub-folder WTF. This is responsibile for redirecting you to the gameserver itself after successfull login.

Check the two settings beginning with SET realmList and SET realmName - they should both look like the ones below:

SET realmList "logon.elysium-project.org"
SET realmName "Nostalrius PvE"

If they are different, then correct them or insert them if they don't exist. There are around 50 lines in total in random order, so it doesn't mean anything where you put them.

Should the client suggest the "QA Realm" to you, click CANCEL - this will bring you to the realm select screen, and then you're good to go.

My WTF folder is empty.

Give a little more details: How far into the login process are you coming?

Do you see the character list?

Do you get into the game and then DC a few seconds after?

The config.wtf fix only works if you dont see the character list.

@Fencera: If the WTF folder is still empty, try exitting client, delete the folder and log in again.

I get dc'd instantly - as soon as i press enter. I don't see any char list or anything, just a dc itself.

How do I exit this client?

I'd delete my own thread on this if I could (looks like a load of us posted threads on it about the same time), but I'm having the same problem, but I noticed an extra twist:

My Config.wtf is rewrting itself to the original 'SET realmlist "us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com"' every time I start the .exe (before the log in attempt). I tried making Config.wtf Read Only, which does prevent the rewriting, but doesn't get me any further into the login process beyond 'Connecting'.

Don't know what else I can do about this, but it is kinda odd.

@Fencera: Click exit .. or alt+f4 :-)

@EnGame101: It might (and might not) be a different issue.

I think you hidden the extensions, so the file is OK. But using word is a no-go! You should use Notepad or a real text editor.
