Shiamorah 20 Report post Posted January 4, 2017 (edited) I am pretty sure that this outbreak of gold sellers and spammers would be much, much less prevalent if the users listen to the staff's advice about having unique credentials. I also believe a majority of these gold sellers are using compromised accounts -- And continue to abuse exploits that have absolutely nothing to do with this server or its security. I would suggest announcing that passwords will be reset for security purposes as a global announcement for a couple of days on a regular interval, along with an announcement on the forum. This way a majority of active players will be aware of this ahead of time. The problem currently is that the staff have a stickied thread regarding possible security compromises... But a minority of the server population actively uses the forums. While the issue with gold sellers is being worked on, I think it would be extremely beneficial to do a server-wide password reset so all users can have unique credentials. More and more accounts are being compromised because a lot of users do not make their credentials unique. Edit: At the very, very least, the staff should implement a regular global message warning about the importance of changing their password.
