Kes 1 Report post Posted January 5, 2017 So, I have noticed with the new patch update that Psychic Scream is no longer dispellable. I don't see any mention of it anywhere in the patch notes, did they sneak this change in or has a new bug been created? I have seen a lot of discussion before about whether or not it should be dispellable. I know some private servers have intentionally made it so it cannot be dispelled. Have a look here, there's nothing concerning that http://wow.gamepedia.com/Psychic_Scream#Patches_and_hotfixes I think at a certain point of the game, the debuff icon was framed with red but it didn't mean it wasn't magic and couldn't be dispelled. Kes 1 Report post Posted January 7, 2017 Ok, after doing some digging it appears this change is in fact correct, which was probably intentional but just not stated in the notes. Here is an archive from Thottbot in 2006, you can see the Dispel Type for Psychic Scream is listed as None, and for comparison Fear which is classified as Magic. It would seem that the change of Dispel Type from None to Magic came silently with TBC which is the reason for there being no documentation. A discussion about the upcoming 2.0.1 patch also provides information as to the changes of Psychic Scream. So this does appear to be a fix and may just have been a bug all along.
