ChodeStrangler 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2017 Dear Moderators, I originally posted this on the "contact a moderator" forum but maybe this is the correct place for my post. I am new to World of Warcraft so bear with me if my lingo is a little bit noob sounding. I recently did the dungeon BFD with my guild and received a belt called [Keller's Girdle]. it is level 18 required, gives 8 to intellect and 3 to stamina. I went to put this item on the auction house earlier to day and the listing went through successfully, except the server crashed as I created the listing. Not thinking anything of this, I went on with my day thinking my listing was on the auction house. I went back to the auction house and my mailbox later that day to check the status of my auction, but to my surprise the item was not only not listed, but no longer anywhere to be found in my backpack, bank, mailbox or auction house. Being as though this is the best drop I have ever gotten, I am very distressed and would like some clarification as to if I will ever get my item back or how to go about talking to a moderator specifically and personally so I can try to get to the bottom of this. Thank you very much. My in game character name is "chodestrnglr". Hope to hear from you guys soon. Brian
Microdots 7 Report post Posted January 5, 2017 If the server crashed as you listed it and everyone on the server dc'd with you then the server would have rolled back to the prior server save. So it should have been in your inventory if as you say the server crashed as you listed it.
ChodeStrangler 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2017 The item is gone, I did not destroy it or sell it and it crashed as the item was being listed. The item was listed on the auction house and then the server crashed and when i logged back in i noticed that the item was gone. Check my account, check my logs. I have 18 gold at the moment and the item was worth 25-30 gold. I did not trade it to anyone, and I was not compensated for the item. I don't know what else to say but that I want some sort of resolution from a moderator as to what occurred
Microdots 7 Report post Posted January 5, 2017 Unfortunately, due to the Terms of Use policy on lost gear there is little the staff will be able to do for you. Here is what is found about lost items in the terms of use. III. Character/Currency/Item restoration Elysium staff will not recover any lost or deleted characters, regardless of circumstances. Game items such as experience, gold or equipment that you have lost through accident, very rare failure of the server, or otherwise, cannot be restored. There are two exceptions to this: Unique quest items or keys can be restored with sufficient evidence that the player had previously obtained them. Raid items with the rarity of Epic and above can be restored in the case of a server crash/roll-back, providing an in-game ticket is sent to us which fulfills the conditions below a. Exact date of the raid; b. Video of complete encounter which also shows the raid ID, loot and complete list of raid members; c. Name of the player who received or should have received the item. Restoration of any item is always at the discretion of Elysium staff. Falsified information will lead to immediate account closure.
ChodeStrangler 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2017 The item was listed mid afternoon yesterday (US Eastern time) with a buyout of 25 gold 8 hour auction by my account "chodestrnglr". As I said the server crashed and when i logged back on the item was out of my inventory so i assumed the auction and went through and did not check my auctions. When I checked back later there was no auction for the item and the item was out of my inventory. There is simply no room for human error, the item disappeared when the server crashed without a doubt.
Microdots 7 Report post Posted January 5, 2017 (edited) There is nothing the staff can do for you. As stated in the terms of use. Sorry for your loss. Here is a link to the senior gm stating that they don't do item restores on lost items. https://forum.elysium-project.org/topic/29697-itemrecipe-disappeared/#comment-287836 Edited January 5, 2017 by Microdots
ChodeStrangler 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2017 If you don't mind, I'm going to wait for one of the moderators to answer me not some random person (who has a lot of game knowledge) on the forums.

If you want a faster response make a ticket ingame. It will be a few days most of the time till you get a response on the forums about a missing item.
