Ban Reason/Notes: I haven't gotten a mail or anything giving me a reason for my ban, I played fine before christmas and now it just says my account is locked :/

That is such a stupid thing.  Why punish the victim?  They really need to figure out a better ban workflow

1. This is not at all stupid. It is, on the contrary, a very wise move on the part of the administration.

2. Because it permanently motivates both the "victim" as well as other players to get really serious with account security.

3. Perma ban works just fine and thus no better workflow is required.

If you are lazy, retarded or simply don't give a rat's arse about your account security, you WILL get your account perma-banned. Period.

I'm currently in the process of trying to appeal a ban on my account that too was compromised, however it was not lost as i have changed the password and will definitely be adding 2 step verification if i get a successful appeal. Fingers crossed all goes well and i get a response to my post in the appeals section.

lmao all horrible points.  I have a very good password and no keyloggers from fishy websites.  how about we push THEM to have better security so our accounts don't get compromised.  you probably think its ok to blame the woman that gets raped because she didn't button enough buttons on her shirt.

Unfortunately its true that the responsibility for account security is on the players end.

 

You can't push them to have better security, they have a top notch security.

They even offer you a 2FA now as first private server ever (at least from what I know they're the first).
