Disconnected + Auth stuck

Recommended Posts

Hi folks.

Same issue here, disconect at authentication.

Ive decided to ping the logon server, and its not responding. So it's ither set to not respond to pings, or it may be down, DNS issues, DDoS etc...

I have the suspicion that all Realms use different world-servers, but the same login-server (since they all work with the same accounts). Opening a 4th server will potentially reduce load on the world-servers, but there's still the same number of users who want to go through validating their account-details to connect to any of the realms.
So yeah, the bottleneck is not the number of players per world. Auth-Battleship it is.

ofc they use the same login server because all the server use the same realmlist "set realmlist logon.elysium-project.org"

in order for each server to have a diferent login server they should have diferent realmlist.

You can have multiple login servers and implement load balancing though.

Well elysium devs made a critical mistake by underestimating the amount of players. The solution was given like 8 years ago on servers like wowcircle and other. Different realmlists for different realms. Different login servers. Problem solved. Now when all 20-30k people are slamming the authorization server it will only get worse until they replace the hardware with better one. This literally means the problem will probably remain for a long time here. Try other vanilla projects for better experience until the problem is solved

Oh, for the sake of it, stop trying to login, just PIng logon.elysium-project.org.

Spaming the logon server will only make it harder to solve the problem.
