How the heck do you use Auctioneer?

Im trying to use Auctioneer but I dont get it.

Is there a config menu to access?
What does the mod actually do? So far all I see are some more tabs and the ability to scan. I scanned the AH but Im not seeing any relevant information that actually tells me anything.
Should i be scanning daily?
Why doesn't anything show up when I "search auctions" (Copper ore, in this case)

Just throw it into garbage bin. Install aux.

Yes it it. You just click "search" without any keywords and it will search the entire AH. It often comes to about 600 pages and takes 10-20mins to finish.
