Extremely bad lag issue.

So on the old nost server that shut down I never had this problem. This is something new when this server launched. I even played on the new Elysium server and havent experienced this yet. Only on Nost PvP.

 

A few things happening.

1. I randomly get disconnected like someone is trying to log into my account. But thats not that cause I changed my pw 3 times and nothing has ever happened to my account.

2. I get really bad lag spikes. As bad as where my game freezes for 30seconds everything teleports all over the place to catch up. Will be good for like 10 seconds that happens all over again.

3. Game freezes and either disconnects itself or I'm forced to shut down the game by task manager.

 

I dont really think this is a computer issue. I ran this game on the highest graphics at a consisent 200FPS and my internet is 20Down 10UP Plently more than enough to run wow without lag. 

I've deleted my WDB and WTF files to try and clear out cache. I've even let my computer defrag itself over night to try and clear out all the bullshit cache and фекал that collects on a computer over night. I don't know what else I can try to fix this, but its border line unplayable. And like I said it NEVER happened on the old nost server just this new one since it came up like 2 months ago.

Things that have been tried;

• Changing from external to internal harddrive (ie. warcraft folder)
• Removing addons, wtf, wdb, configs
• Changing realmlist to 164.132.233.125
• Fresh download of the game
• leatrix latency fix
• restarting computer & router

Nothing works so far. Latency jumps to about 1500ms every time for no apparent reason.

EDIT: Minimum 1500ms.

Yes that's not an issue. Like I said I can play on server any game do anything on the internet fine EXPECT Nost PvP i havent experienced this problem on the newly launched server yet but it could start happening.

yea oki, just wondering if you stil get the problem if you use cabel on Nost. Could you try?

I'm using a cable and I'm experiancing the same problem (on all servers) but not on other games.

EDIT: Note that I wasn't experiancing any of these problems two days ago when I played about 10 hours straight without a single lag spike.

I'm also on a 100/10 connection.

I have the same problem, with confirmation that it is nothing to do with the internet connection as far as tracert can follow.  I can make it to somewhere in Europe (France) at 150ms, then I hit a firewall which I assume is Elysium.

My problem (I have seen more than 4500ms) comes in short bursts.  Unlike regular packet loss lag, where things just pop into place... I am instead treated to a very high speed rewind of everything that happened, as if the stream was paused, and then I suddenly received all 30-90 seconds of data in one burst.

 

This tends to occur around 2am server time (8pm Eastern), lasting until 4 or 5 am Server.  I have no observed it to occur outside of those time ranges.

I think the issue is for everyone. Every time i in a DG and have this massive lag, everyone start to lag to (they always say things like "i lagging" "lag" etc).

This problem is in the server, not with your internet.

Been having this problem, started only the past few days.

They're hosted thru OVH (one of the best UK server hosts). I've played for months now and the only latency issues I've had have been due to my internal network and wifi related. Last 2 weeks (I travel) I played from Toronto, Chicago and Portland. Latency was fine and / or 100% not OVH's fault. The servers are in France. Fortunately, I'm in OR near one of the newer / better fiber hubs to OVH routes across the pond from Eastern Canada.


Go here and check your ping to their servers: http://proof.ovh.net. Use the automatic server selection (that's likely what you're getting playing on Elysium). I end up with Beauhamois which is the same route my Elysium traffic is automatically taking. If you're getting bad ping there, try to isolate why - it's likely your issue.


When you're having intermittent issues, seems like 9 times out of 10 it's people's own internal network and or wifi interference etc. Always been the case for me... though I'm lucky with OR internet which is amazing!


PS: "Amazing" to me is less than 200ms for a FR based server.
