how to enable posting in general chat/whisper?

Hi,

Just started playing and got my first char to lv7.

What I noticed that i'm still not allowed to talk in the general channel and whisper other players.

How/when I can enable this? after all, I moved here from retail also because I would like to be part of the community / group up :)

pretty sure it's at level 10.  Although some people are reporting problems after that.

also, there is a function to toggle whispers on and off.  

.wr on will filter whspers so only friends and guldies can whisper you

.wr off will allow anyone to whisper you

 

toggle this back and forth so you can see how its set.
